There are a handful of direct trains between Hereford and London Paddington, but prospective passengers should anticipate at least one change on unplanned journeys. The direct service is operated by First Great Western (GWR); it runs sporadically and takes 3:25 hours. Other Arriva Trains Wales services work out quicker but involve a change, typically at Newport, Gwent or Bristol Temple Meads. The second train is a fast service to London Paddington. Taking the Train from Hereford

Hereford is fairly close to the Welsh border and the main train station is to the north of town, it is well connected and easily accessible by local public transport services. Paddington is the main London terminus for the West of England, Wales and Devon/Cornwall.
