There are eight ferries from Naples to Capri that are operated by SNAV. The ferries depart daily and there is a ferry departing about every 45 minutes. The first ferry departs at around 8:00 a.m. while the last ferry departs from Naples at around 7:00 p.m. Evening and morning ferries are usually full due to commuters. As a result, booking might be needed. However, if one is visiting Capri on a break or wants to enjoy the beautiful Capri countryside, the midday ferries are a great choice. There are both fast and slow ferries on this route. SNAV operates high-speed ferries but there are options for other ferries that take about 80 minutes.
What you need to know to travel by ferries from Naples to Capri
Vehicles are banned on the island for most of the year except between November and Easter for non-residents. However, there is not much use for cars since there is one road and public transport is reliable. The high-speed ferries are found at the port of Molo Beverello, while the slow ferries at located at Calata di Massa. These slow ferries are cheaper.
