Lux express offers three types of tickets:

Campaign

  • Cheapest ticket option
  • Limited availability
  • Non-refundable or exchangeable
  • Alterations to name, date and time of departure are permitted before travel

Standard

  • Normal ticket option
  • Extra discounts (i.e. children) are applicable to only this ticket
  • Alterations to name, date and time of departure are permitted before travel

Lounge

  • Most expensive ticket option
  • Bigger seats and free meals included in the ticket price
  • Alterations to name, date and time of departure are permitted before travel
  • Refundable and exchangeable

 

Lux Express FAQS

Can I exchange or refund my ticket?

If you have a standard or lounge ticket for an international route then you can exchange your ticket for another journey. If the new ticket costs more than the original ticket, you will need to pay the difference.

Refunds are available via Omio and has to be requested up to an hour before departure. Refund amounts vary depending on how far in advance the refund request was made.

Can I bring my pet(s) on board?

Pets are not permitted on Lux Express international routes. Guide dogs are allowed but must have the correct paperwork.

Do children get a discount?

Children under 16 years travel for 80 percent less than the price of a normal ticket. A valid passport is required.

Can you travel on Lux Express buses with limited mobility?

Unfortunately, wheelchair access is not currently available on international Lux Express routes.

Lux Express baggage policy: everything you need to know

How much baggage can I bring?

Each passenger is allowed one carry-on and one larger piece to be placed in the hold. The carry-on must not exceed 5kg and cannot be larger than 45x55x20cm (length x width x height). Holdall baggage must not exceed 30kg and cannot be larger than 70x30x55cm.

Can I bring my bike?

Bikes are permitted but only if there is availability in the hold but cannot be pre-booked. The front-wheel must be removed before storage. If a bike cannot be carried then a refund for the original ticket will be issued.

What should I do if my baggage is lost?

If you have forgotten or lost your baggage, please contact Lux Express’ customer service as soon as possible. Please provide all relevant information such as type of baggage, the time and date of your journey and your seat number.

Where can I buy Lux Express Tickets?

Lux Express tickets can be bought on Omio via the Omio app.

Do I have to print my ticket?

No. With Lux Express international routes, you don’t have to print a ticket, you just need to bring an ID card or passport to show to the driver.

Do I need to bring ID?

Yes. Most government-issued IDs are adequate but it’s always good to have your passport handy, especially if you are non-EU national.

How long do I have to be at the bus stop before departure?

Lux Express asks that everyone be at the bus station/stop at least 15 minutes before departure. If you need extra assistance please be at the stop/station at least 30 minutes before departure.
