The shortest direct flights between Venice and London take two hours and five minutes. Slightly longer flights take up two hours and twenty minutes but the majority of flights average two hours and ten minutes.

Departure airport: Venice Marco Polo Airport is around five miles north of Venice. Travelling by boat is one of the easiest ways to reach the airport from the city. Private water taxis take around 25 minutes to complete the journey. The journey time for the public water bus averages at one and a half hours. Alternatively, trains depart from Santa Lucia Railway Station and buses and taxis from the Piazzale Roma. The airport itself provides extensive shopping and eating facilities. It also offers special assistance to passengers with autism as well as to those with reduced mobility or who are travelling with children.
Arrival airports: London City, London Gatwick, London Heathrow, London Luton, London Southend and London Stansted are located varying distances from central London. London City is closest and passengers can reach Bank Underground Station in around 25 minutes on the Docklands Light Railway. Passengers landing at Heathrow can use the Heathrow Express into Paddington to reach the capital in around 15 minutes. Alternatively, the Piccadilly line also serves Heathrow. The other four airports are connected to the city via mainline rail links, local buses and taxis. All six airports provide refreshment and shopping facilities.
