What are the different Lufthansa ticket types?
Lufthansa offers four different ticket classes for its scheduled services, each of which offers a high standard of travel service. Economy class offers the best value, and passengers can choose from Economy Flex Fares that offer flexibility in changing or cancelling flights and accrue more miles in their loyalty programme, or Economy Basic Fares that offer the most affordable and straightforward fares for booking.
All passengers in Economy benefit from more legroom than normal economy cabins, in-flight entertainment, one free checked bag, and a complimentary selection of food and drinks.
Premium Economy for select international flights offers more comfortable seating and space, two free checked bags weighing up to 23 kg, a welcome drink upon boarding, larger in-flight entertainment screens, a food menu as well as the opportunity to access the lounges at an additional fee.
In-flight food and drinks are available for all passengers as well as in-flight entertainment on most flights. On long-haul journeys, the airline offers Internet access on 90% of its flights with Lufthansa FlyNet, which can be paid for with currency or miles.
Seats in Business Class on long-haul flights are being updated throughout 2015 to offer fully reclining flat bed options.
Lufthansa’s First Class provides the highest service standards for luxury travelling and has been rated 5-stars by Skytrax. Lie-flat beds on long-haul flights, gourmet food and drink choices, and attentive care throughout the flight are promised with the First Class experience.
