Alicante Train Terminal, located centrally in the city, receives long distance trains from most Spanish cities, and there is also an international route to Montpellier, France. There is an urban service that runs to Murcia and San Vicente, and small rail network in the city, known as 'TRAM' which offers regular services throughout the region.

Alicante's bus station receives regular long distance 'ALSA' buses from almost every city in Spain and is located at the city's port, which is easily accessible by foot or by local public transport. There is also a local tram service, which connects Alicante with areas a little further out of the city centre.
