The train journey from Alicante to Barcelona (train number Euromed 01173) was excellent. The direct connection took about 4 hours and 30 minutes and was extremely comfortable. The train was on time, the seats were comfortable and everything was very clean, including the toilets. Despite the long journey, the journey was pleasant and stress-free, so it was easy to relax. The staff were also friendly and helpful. Overall a quick and comfortable journey. So absolutely recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable direct connection!

Disadvantages
IconRestricted board bistro
On our European tour, we mainly used the train as our means of transport. We can highly recommend the railway in Spain and especially the Euromed we used. The journey was very pleasant despite a 5-hour journey as A) we didn't have to change trains and B) the train is very cosy and spacious. The only thing that wasn't ideal on the journey was the on-board bistro, as it was closed. So you'd better bring a few snacks with you.
Advantages
IconVery clean
The train journey with train number 839, which took almost nine hours, was extremely comfortable overall. Even though I had to move once, the changeover went without a hitch. The cleanliness of the train was particularly good: from the seats to the toilets, everything was spotless. The train was comfortable and the journey peaceful. The wifi and the air-conditioned air provided additional comfort. Also, the view during the journey was beautiful. An excellent overall travelling experience that I would love to do again. I was able to buy something to eat.
