The train journey started at 9:33 am and went smoothly in itself. There were only very few seats available and with luggage it was almost hopeless. Standing in the aisle and with luggage, we were not alone either, so at least you couldn't fall over. Nevertheless, the train was clean and the rush was to be expected. There was no ticket inspector on the route.
Advantages

IconYou can easily get into the city
Disadvantages
Iconsometimes late
The journey to Mannheim is quite relaxed, but unfortunately often overcrowded, so you usually don't have a seat. It's a bit annoying in summer. There are power sockets only in 1st class. Nevertheless, the seats are always clean and comfortable. There is a toilet, of course, which is very useful.

Disadvantages

IconThe train stops in the middle of the way
For such a short distance, suburban trains are taken. There is no wifi on these trains. However, there are charging plugs in 2nd class on the train. These trains are usually not kept clean. But the service is good. Inspectors are very friendly. From Heidelberg to Mannheim, there is usually a train from A to B, so you don't have to change trains very often.
