I booked this trip via the DB Next site, which I think is clearer and more modern. Buying the train ticket was easy and reserving a seat afterwards was also possible. On this journey I had a seat in the 1st class rest area, which was hardly occupied and accordingly very, very quiet. The seats have 1 power socket for each seat and slightly more comfortable seats than those in 2nd class. The train left on time and arrived on time. The price-performance ratio was fine, with a journey time of a little less than 2h.

IconDirty WC
The journey from Munich to Mannheim was on the ICE 512 in second class. The journey time of just under three hours was manageable. The service on board was good, coffee was served at the seat. The train was clean and well maintained, and the toilets were also well cleaned.

The train connection was extremely punctual. The train arrived exactly at the specified departure time and reached its destination without any significant delays. The fare was reasonable for the services provided. The option to book in advance helped to secure a cheaper fare. The overall cleanliness of the train was very good. The compartments, corridors and toilets were well maintained. The toilets were in an acceptable condition, however more regular cleaning could be improved. The seats were comfortable and offered sufficient legroom. The backrest was adjustable, which further increased comfort. Overall, the ICE train connection was a pleasant travelling experience.
Advantages

IconNo delay
Disadvantages
IconPoor wifi
The journey from Munich to Mannheim was made at breakneck speed on the ICE. It was quite pleasant on board, where cleanliness and comfort prevailed. This was particularly due to the air conditioning and the comfortable seats. There were no delays during the journey, so I reached my destination on time. The wifi signal occasionally wiped out. Improvements could be made here. Otherwise a good connection.
Advantages

Disadvantages
IconTrain cancellation
At first I looked angry because my train was cancelled and I had to wait a while until I could take the next one. But then it was quiet on the train and the staff were really friendly, so I got over my initial anger. The rest of the journey went well.
