Average, no more and no less. The train departed on time, but some carriages were overcrowded and I had to move. The wifi wobbled between slow and not at all and my socket remained without power. On the plus side, the staff were helpful and found me a new seat. After three hours I was there, but not really relaxed. OK for shorter journeys, rather slow for longer ones.

I wanted to visit an old friend in Dortmund and decided to take the train because I didn't fancy long motorway journeys. At least the connection was direct, but the comfort left a lot to be desired. The seat was uncomfortable and at some point my back really ached. Wifi was available, but was constantly interrupted. The view was quite nice in places, but didn't help much as it soon got dark. The volume in the coach was pleasant. The toilets were fine. I would only recommend the journey to a limited extent.

The journey on the ICE 611 was fine for me. The wifi was flawless, I was able to send messages without any problems and even use a video stream. I was pleasantly surprised by this. I didn't like the way the staff treated me, they seemed a bit stressed and weren't particularly friendly. I only received short answers to my questions. This is unfortunate, as the journey was otherwise pleasant. The seats were comfortable and the train was clean.

My journey to Dortmund by ICE was an interesting experience. The reason for my journey was of a private nature, so I was able to relax while travelling. I opted for the ICE as it was the fastest and most comfortable option. Other alternatives such as long-distance bus or car seemed less efficient to me. The journey took place in May, which was pleasant as the weather was mild and not too hot. The comfort on the train was good overall: the seats were comfortable and there was plenty of legroom. The cleanliness of the train, including the toilets, which were in good condition, was particularly good. The wifi was stable, which allowed me to stay productive during the journey. There were also charging points available, which were very practical. The train was on time, which made my planning much easier. The service on board was friendly and helpful. There was also an on-board restaurant, which I used. The selection was satisfactory and the quality of the food was good. I paid €19 for my ticket, which I consider to be good value for money. Overall, I was very satisfied with the ICE journey to Dortmund and would choose this option again at any time.

I always use this connection when I visit my family. I always travel with peace of mind and am not stressed by the traffic when I arrive. The train was very clean, including the toilets. The price of the ticket is relatively high. But there is good wifi and you can keep yourself busy. You can also eat if you want. I don't do this as it is simply too expensive for me.

The journey went smoothly. The train was on time and I was able to travel in a relaxed manner even when changing trains, which saved me a lot of stress. The seat was comfortable and I had enough space to relax and read. There was a power socket, which also worked. The on-board staff were friendly. The ticket price was absolutely fine for the route. Unfortunately, the on-board bistro was closed, which was a shame.

Super great connection from Hamburg to Dortmund. You get there in no time at all. Fortunately, the train arrived very punctually and had good wifi. The toilets were very clean and could be used without any problems. I bought a croissant and a coffee in the bistro. Unfortunately very expensive.

Advantages
IconI was able to relax
Disadvantages
Iconit was a bit cold
Overall, my ICE journey was good. One positive aspect is the train's quiet travelling style. It's easy to relax or have a chat. The view from the window was also nice. Another plus point is the direct connection. There were no changes and I reached my destination quickly. The downside was that the heating was too low. That was a bit embarrassing. Nevertheless, the journey was a pleasant experience. The staff were friendly and the train was clean.
Advantages
IconComfortable travel
Disadvantages
IconUnpunctuality
Our train journey went without incident and I had the opportunity to appreciate the benefits of rail transport. We ate from the wide range of dishes on offer in the on-board restaurant during the journey. The food is delicious and the prices reasonable. The staff were friendly and efficient, we had a nice journey.

IconNo delay
Disadvantages
IconNo wifi
My journey from Hamburg to Hanover was quite nice, because there were very beautiful landscapes to admire along the route. The train itself was technically fine, it seemed to me. There were no delays during the journey. I had to change trains once in Hanover, which was uncomplicated. I was a bit sad that the wifi didn't work.
Advantages
IconUncomplicated changeover
IconModern trains
IconPunctuality
Disadvantages
IconLittle choice at the bistro
I travelled from Hamburg to Dortmund and had to change trains once in Hanover. Both trains were ICE trains. The trains were modern and well equipped. There was wifi and the seats were very ergonomic. The air conditioning further improved the comfort. There were no delays, and the change in Hanover was also quite uncomplicated. However, I found the choice of on-board bistro somewhat sobering.
Advantages
IconComfortable seats
IconCalm atmosphere
Iconnice boarding staff and good ticket control
IconBoard bistro available
Disadvantages
IconRoller blind at my seat was missing
IconMinor delay of less than 5 minutes
The journey was very long, but very relaxing due to the comfortable seats and the quiet atmosphere on the train. The train had full facilities and the on-board bistro was open. The on-board staff made a good impression and were very friendly when checking tickets. However, there was no blind at my seat, so the sun was shining in my face all the time. Otherwise, the train was clean and had a small delay of less than 5 minutes when I arrived at my destination.
Advantages
IconNo change necessary
IconFast and friendly ticket control
IconBoard bistro was open
IconIt had been quiet on the train
Disadvantages
IconDelay of about 25 minutes
IconThe backrest was missing from the seat
IconCleanliness in the passenger compartment unacceptable
You could travel directly from Hamburg to Dortmund in the ICE in the fastest time without changing trains. However, the train was quickly delayed. In total, it was 25 minutes late. The train was also a bit dirty inside and the backrest of my seat was missing. The hygiene in the toilets was acceptable and the staff checked the tickets in a friendly and quick manner. The on-board bistro was also open, so I was able to buy a meal. Overall, it was very quiet on the train as it was not full.
Advantages
IconPrice performance
IconShort travel time
Disadvantages
IconChangeover
We travelled from Hamburg to Dortmund with ICE 685 and ICE 542. The change was in Hanover, which was a bit annoying. Next time, it's better to take a direct train. Otherwise, the journey was pleasantly quick, just under three hours (including waiting time in Hanover). The trains were comfortable and clean, there was nothing to complain about. The price-performance ratio was very good. So was the service on board.
Advantages
IconYou can book the tickets online.
IconYou are always up to date via the app
IconYou can check yourself in.
IconThe staff is friendly and helpful
IconApart from the hygiene and punctuality, the price-performance ratio is okay.
IconYou have sockets almost everywhere
Disadvantages
IconThe train is often late.
IconIt's dirty and the seats in second class are uncomfortable.
IconThe toilets are unusable.
IconThe wifi often does not work.
In general, travelling by train is a relaxing way to get from A to B, provided the trains are not permanently delayed. However, you should always go to the toilet in the stations, because it is somewhat cleaner there. The staff are always friendly and helpful.
Advantages
IconHygiene
IconComfort
Disadvantages
IconPrice
I recently travelled from Hamburg to Dortmund main station by ICE. The journey was very cosy due to the comfortable seats and the relaxed volume. The hygiene condition in the train was also excellent! The only negative is the price, which was a bit too high.
Advantages
IconPrice
Disadvantages
Iconwifi
Unfortunately, the wifi was poor. But the service was very pleasant due to the friendly staff. The seats were comfortable and the volume was pleasant. The standard of hygiene was very good, it was clean. The train arrived on time. Price-performance ratio very good.
Advantages
IconThe staff was friendly
IconThe cleanliness was satisfactory
IconThe duration of the journey was acceptable
Disadvantages
IconNot exactly comfortable seats
IconLittle legroom
IconWeak price-performance ratio due to the high cost of the ticket
IconThe service did not fulfil my expectations
IconThe carriages didn't look very well maintained to me
Unfortunately, my experience on the train journey from Hamburg to Dortmund was not so pleasant. The interior of the train left a modest impression. The seats were not particularly comfortable and the cramped conditions in the carriage did not help to create a pleasant travelling atmosphere. The older furnishings gave an uninviting impression and impaired comfort during the journey. The comfort on board left a lot to be desired. The air conditioning did not seem to work optimally, resulting in an uncomfortable and stuffy atmosphere. The journey seemed interminable and the limited opportunities to relax made the journey even more stressful. The cleanliness of the train was not ideal either. The sanitary facilities were not particularly clean and the condition of the carriage left a lot to be desired. This contributed significantly to the overall travelling experience being negatively affected. In terms of value for money, the journey was disappointing. The quality on offer was not commensurate with the ticket price paid. The limited facilities and lack of comfort in no way justified the cost of the train journey. The only satisfactory aspects were the staff, who were always friendly and helpful, the cleanliness to a limited extent and the acceptable journey time. However, these were all the positive points on this train journey and I personally would not take it again unless something changes.
