Surprisingly solid journey. Although the ICE was at the station ten minutes longer than planned, the crew informed us quickly and were very friendly. The seats offered plenty of space, the sockets worked and the wifi only briefly wiped out twice. Unfortunately, there was no on-board bistro. Overall, I felt well looked after and arrived in Munich almost exactly on time. I would happily travel again.

After a really nice weekend with my friend in Dortmund, I travelled back to Hamburg by train. The comfort was good, I had a window seat with plenty of legroom. The view was really nice at sunset, especially over the fields just outside the city. Wifi worked throughout this time. The toilets were clean, which I found particularly pleasant on the return journey. The connection was direct and punctual, which made my journey much easier.

My journey on the ICE 618 left me with a mixed impression. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was very pleasant in the heat. The temperature on the train was always pleasant, neither too hot nor too cold. Unfortunately, the train arrived late, which meant I only had a short time to make my connection. Although the delay was unpleasant, it was fortunately limited. Apart from that, the journey was quiet, the seats were comfortable and the atmosphere in the carriage was relaxed.

I travelled privately from Dortmund to Hamburg and had an extremely disappointing experience. The journey started with a considerable delay, which forced me to take another train. This was very annoying as I had deliberately decided to take the ICE to get to my destination quickly and comfortably. The ticket price was expensive, which made the poor value for money even more unpleasant. It was particularly disappointing that there was no on-board restaurant, and I didn't use the WiFi, on-board entertainment or charging functions either. Unfortunately, the comfort of the journey, the cleanliness of the train and the quality of the service also fell short of my expectations. Overall, this was an unsatisfactory journey that I would not book again.

The train journey from Dortmund to Hamburg was generally relaxed despite a cancelled ICE train. Thanks to the flexible passenger rights, we were able to take another train without any problems and reach our destination without too much stress. The journey was smooth and pleasant - Deutsche Bahn reacted flexibly and in a customer-friendly manner.

The train journey was very pleasant overall. The train was clean, well air-conditioned and the seats were comfortable, ideal for longer journeys. Unfortunately, the staff were not exactly friendly. Otherwise a good journey that I can recommend.

Unfortunately, the train journey was disappointing. The train was very crowded and almost all the seats were already occupied. I had to stand for half the journey. There was a significant delay and I missed my connection as a result. The wifi was unusable and the toilets were dirty. At least the air conditioning was OK, which was a small consolation given the temperatures. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this journey!

I was generally satisfied with the journey. The train was clean, the seat offered enough space and the air conditioning worked pleasantly unobtrusively. My connection was also made despite a slight delay. Unfortunately, the snack machine was out of order and the on-board bistro was already overcrowded early on. So if you're travelling for longer, it's better to take something with you. Nevertheless, it was a pleasant journey, especially because of the quiet carriage and the relaxed atmosphere.

The ICE journey was acceptable overall. There is the positive feature that you arrive very quickly. This saves a lot of time compared to travelling by car. An additional advantage is that it is possible to relax on the journey. There is no need to worry about the traffic; you can just sit and look out of the window. Food and drinks are also available in the on-board restaurant. One disadvantage was that the train was relatively full. There was a lack of peace and space. Nevertheless, the journey was comfortable and the train reached its destination on time.

I travelled from Dortmund to Hamburg on 1 May because I was visiting friends in Hamburg and wanted to make the most of a long weekend. The train connection was the best option for me as it was direct and didn't involve changing trains. I also considered travelling by car, but I was expecting traffic jams because of the public holiday. What I liked best was the quiet atmosphere on the train and the punctuality. I also particularly liked the fact that I could use my laptop without any problems, as there were working sockets at my seat. The worst thing I found was that the on-board restaurant was very full and I had to queue for a long time, leaving at 13:25, which was early afternoon. That was perfect because I didn't have any stress in the morning and still arrived in Hamburg in the early evening. The seats were comfortable, the coach was clean and quiet. The toilets were also in good condition and were apparently cleaned regularly.I used the WiFi during the journey, which worked well - at least for emails and some surfing. Streaming would have been difficult, but it wasn't a problem for me.The train was on time and arrived in Hamburg on schedule. The service was friendly; the on-board staff regularly asked if everything was OK.there was an on-board restaurant, which I also used. Unfortunately, it was quite full, so I had to wait a bit. The food was okay, but nothing special, and I paid €44.99 for my ticket, which I think is absolutely fair for a direct connection on a public holiday. The price-performance ratio was fine for me, as I got a fast, direct and convenient connection

My ICE journey from Dortmund to Hamburg of about 3 hours was very pleasant. The equipment was top. The wifi worked very well and the seats were very comfortable. In addition, the train was on time. Unfortunately, the cleanliness throughout the train was not really good. Especially the toilets were very unhygienic.

I took the ICE from Koblenz via Düsseldorf to Hamburg... The price was very good, I paid less than 80€ for two people! The ICE was also clean and the toilets were in a good hygienic condition. However, the staff was very unfriendly...
Advantages
IconVery nice and friendly service
IconVery comfortable seats
IconFair price-performance ratio
IconPleasantly short journey duration
IconEverything very well maintained and clean
IconThe socket at my seat was very practical
Disadvantages
IconThe woman in front of me was listening to music a little too loud for my taste
IconThere was no wifi at my place either. However, I don't think that's a bad thing.
My journey from Dortmund to Hamburg by train was really impressive. The train was equipped with modern comforts and the seats were very comfortable. The generous legroom helped to make the journey extremely pleasant. The ability to charge my devices at the sockets was very handy. The comfort during the journey was excellent. The air conditioning created a pleasant atmosphere and the quiet journey allowed me to relax. The journey time was efficient and the time flew by. The cleanliness of the train was exemplary - the sanitary facilities and the general condition of the carriage left nothing to be desired. In terms of value for money, the train journey was particularly impressive. The quality of the service was well balanced in relation to the ticket price. The various services on offer, such as the catering, contributed to a positive overall impression. The service on board was largely satisfactory. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only annoying thing was that a fellow traveller in front of me was listening to music too loudly. Nevertheless, this did not spoil my lasting impression, as the staff handled the situation professionally. The only downer was the lack of wifi at my seat, but this wasn't too serious as I was able to keep myself occupied elsewhere. All in all, the train journey from Dortmund to Hamburg was an extremely positive experience that impressed with its modern facilities, comfort, efficiency, cleanliness, fair price-performance ratio and good service.
