The whole train journey from Cologne to Hamburg was pleasant. I sat by the window, which allowed me to observe the constantly changing landscape during the journey. Although the train was full, the atmosphere was calm and relaxed. There was a slight delay, but the train crew quickly made a friendly announcement explaining the situation and relaxing the atmosphere. I grabbed a small snack in the on-board restaurant, which was delicious. I really enjoyed the service. All in all, it was a great journey.

There were plenty of sockets, I had four sockets at my table and also free wifi, I felt like I was in 1st class. A slightly softer upholstery of the seats would have made the journey noticeably more pleasant for me. To summarise, the train journey from Cologne to Hamburg was quite pleasant but, as always, there is room for improvement. I mean improvements in terms of punctuality and seating comfort. Nevertheless, in my opinion, it is a recommendable way to travel.
