The journey was relaxed throughout. The comfort was great, plenty of space and super comfortable seats. On time to the minute, which is almost a surprise when travelling by train. The wifi worked without interruption, even when streaming. The on-board bistro was on board and had good snacks. The view was beautiful. Compared to travelling by car, it was simply less stressful, cheaper and quicker. I would do it again at any time.

We opted for this train journey after considering other options. We wanted to get to our holiday destination. The train was late and overcrowded. Typical railway problem that tickets are sold without allocating seats at the same time. This does not exist in other countries, which leads to much more comfort than in Germany. Overall the train was clean. Some toilets were closed. The price-performance ratio for the ticket was okay. We only bought drinks in the on-board restaurant. The prices are overpriced. We did not use the on-board entertainment programme or Wi-Fi. We did use the charging function. That is very practical.

I left Düsseldorf early in the morning and the train was almost on time. As I travelled with a seat reservation, it was no problem to find a seat. The service on board was good. Coffee, tea and cold drinks were offered. Small snacks were also available for purchase. Only the wifi could be better.

I travelled from Düsseldorf to Hamburg in the morning to get to an appointment on time. The connection was perfect, without changing trains and very punctual. Wifi worked well, I was able to work on emails and upload documents. The comfort was good, table and power socket available. The volume was pleasant and I was able to concentrate well. The toilets were clean. Compared to travelling by car, it was much more relaxed and quicker. Really recommendable!

I often travel this route and this time it went pretty well. The train was clean, quiet and arrived only five minutes later. My seat was free and actually quite comfortable. I was able to listen to music and write a few emails. Only the wifi sometimes went on strike, which was a bit annoying. Nevertheless, it was a pleasant journey. I would do it again at any time.

I travelled from Düsseldorf to Hamburg in April this year after being on the road in Düsseldorf for a private trip. The journey back was a good end to my trip. The service from the staff was great and I had a very nice journey for a good price. I was able to relax on the 4-hour journey, even though the wifi didn't really charge. The view was still great and the on-board bistro is always worth a recommendation on a longer journey. We departed on time and also arrived very promptly.

Although I was looking forward to a quick and comfortable journey, the train arrived at the station with a considerable delay of over 30 minutes. Waiting for the train was frustrating as there was no up-to-date information and many passengers were confused. Once we were finally able to board, however, the comfort on the train was pleasant - comfortable seats and plenty of space to relax. The journey itself was smooth and quick, which eased my stress a little. However, I can't completely ignore the delay as it disrupted the whole journey.

The ICE journey was quick and pleasant. I was able to relax and use the time to work. The seats are comfortable and offer enough space, even for longer journeys. I found the free wifi particularly practical, as it allowed me to stay online. The train staff were friendly and offered help. The toilets and benches were clean and well-maintained. One small drawback was that it sometimes got a little crowded.

Small delays occurred, but did not affect the overall satisfaction. Nevertheless, the service was convincing and I would travel on this train again.

After a family visit, I travelled from Düsseldorf to Hamburg. I decided to use Deutsche Bahn for this journey. Unfortunately, the train wasn't quite on time. But the train was very clean. The seats were also very well maintained and not broken. There was good wifi and also USB sockets, which I always find very positive. The conductors on the train were very nice and courteous. The toilet facilities were very clean.

Unfortunately, the ICE was 30 minutes late. However, I quickly got a seat without a seat reservation. The wifi is very fast and free. The seats are very comfortable. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities were very dirty and very outdated. The conductor was very friendly. It's worth it if you buy a saver ticket
Advantages
Iconbeautiful view
My train arrived when it was supposed to (punctuality). I was in 1st class and it was even better than expected. I was served the whole time and the staff were very nice and asked me every now and then if I needed anything. I especially liked the food. The toilets were also clean. The wifi was also good. I can only recommend the ride as I got everything I expected and even more. Great ride!
Advantages
IconVery hygienic
Disadvantages

It was a great trip in 2nd class. One small negative point, and that was my ticket was a bit expensive, but it was definitely worth it in my opinion as I had very good wifi and plenty of space. I was in the large room and in the non-smoking zone. What I also liked was that they paid a lot of attention to hygiene and the toilets were clean. In addition, the services, super fast delivery were inexpensive and the food was super tasty. For all these reasons, it is a recommendable trip. In addition, the staff were very nice.
Advantages

Disadvantages
IconTrain was too late
There was one thing I didn't like and that was the delay of the train, but it wasn't that bad. Other than that, it was a great ride. I had wifi and a power socket at my seat. My seat was very comfortable and the train was very quiet. If you needed food, you could get it. The staff were very nice and you had a lot of things to order. What I found great was that we were always told when we were arriving and so on. It was also very clean on the train and especially the toilets were very clean. I didn't have to change trains and the price-performance ratio was great. A trip that I can definitely recommend.
Advantages

Disadvantages

I bought the tickets from Düsseldorf to Hamburg online for my friend and me, as it was quicker. Anyone who can travel with an ICE knows that these are the best trains. The wifi was free in the package and was also super strong. There were sockets at the seats and no problems there either. Of course, we had booked seats as well. The service was friendly, but the food was expensive. In between, we had to stop in the middle of the route because there were short disruptions. But we still arrived on time. So one can only be satisfied. Always happy to travel again with the ICE
Advantages
IconIt was a pleasant trip
Disadvantages
IconSeats not adjustable
I had business in Hamburg. That's why I took the Flixtrain from Düsseldorf main station to Hamburg main station. The online booking was relatively easy. The journey was very pleasant. The staff on the flixtrain were extremely friendly. The entertainment on the flixtrain was very good. The only drawback was that the seats could not be adjusted. Otherwise, I can recommend the flixtrain without reservation.
Advantages

Disadvantages
IconNone
I found the journey in the flixtrain from Düsseldorf main station to Hamburg main station extremely pleasant. The staff as well as the train driver were very friendly. The entertainment in the train is also worth mentioning, which makes the journey not seem boring. The non-adjustable seats on the train were a little annoying. Otherwise, a great alternative to the Deutsche Bahn.

Disadvantages

I recently took the train to Hamburg to visit a friend and I was really happy that the train ride was so pleasant. The staff were very friendly and kept the toilets clean. The train arrived without delay and the comfort on the train was also great. The seats were very well upholstered and equipped with a power socket and a waste bin. There was also more than stable wifi on the train. In general, I think the price was very reasonable.
Advantages
IconReliability
Disadvantages
IconNo
I'm taking the train from Düsseldorf to Hamburg again. So far, the trains have always been on time. If there are delays or changes to the timetable, you are informed in good time by email. As in all the trains I've been on, the seats are a bit cramped and unfortunately cannot be adjusted. The train has free wifi with on-board entertainment and a power socket at the seat. The on-board staff have always been helpful and friendly. There is nothing to complain about the cleanliness (including the toilet). Price performance is top here!
Advantages
IconRelaxed ride
Disadvantages
IconExpensive
Friendly staff, relatively clean but too few toilets. Food and drink can be bought but very expensive. Price-performance ratio is ok, but too expensive to use it often. Seating is good and there are power sockets. However, very poor to no wifi which is a shame.
Advantages
IconClean
Disadvantages
IconPunctuality
I generally enjoy travelling by train, but this journey exceeded all my expectations. The sanitary facilities and seats were spotlessly clean. And there was a very relaxed atmosphere. The network connection was also exceptionally good and reliable. The only thing I can criticise was that the train was about 20 minutes late. I give the journey 5 stars.
