I decided to take the train to Düsseldorf to avoid the expensive parking costs. Especially with the high fuel prices, I like to travel with my Deutschland Ticket. The train connection from Cologne to Düsseldorf is basically very good. Trains leave every few minutes. Unfortunately, the hygiene in the south leaves a lot to be desired. The trains are very dirty and some of them smell very unpleasant. In addition, my train was late. Otherwise, it is very worthwhile to travel with the Deutschland Ticket.

I drove from Cologne to Düsseldorf to go to a concert. Because of the size of the concert, I wanted to be there early enough to get a good view. Unfortunately, our train was delayed several times. Which of course is not great on a day like this. What I found positive, however, was that I was constantly informed about the delay by email. At least that was something. The train itself was quite clean. There was also a place to charge your phone between the two seats. The staff was nice again. Even though the train was very crowded. Many had only a standing room left. It is important to note that the seat reservation is not included in the price. But it has to be said that the fare from Cologne to Düsseldorf is really fair. On the whole, the journey was perfectly fine.

After my stay in Cologne, I took the Deutsche Bahn ICE to Düsseldorf to continue my journey from there. As I was in a hurry, the ICE was very convenient as it only takes 20 minutes from Cologne to Düsseldorf. The train arrived on time and we also reached our destination in Düsseldorf on time. The ICE was very modern and clean. The seats were very comfortable and had enough storage space for my bags. They were equipped with power sockets and the internet on the train was very good. The ticket prices are very expensive, but since it had to go very quickly and I was satisfied in the end, it was worth the money. All in all, I would recommend this trip.

I can't say anything negative about the journey from Cologne main station to Düsseldorf main station by ICE. The departure as well as the arrival were on time and only take 20-25 minutes, if I had tried to drive the same distance by car, I would have been on the road much longer. In addition, the comfort on the train is very high and the Deutsche Bahn staff on the train are very nice and courteous. I would recommend the trip to others.

I travelled from Cologne main station to Düsseldorf main station at the weekend, by ICE. The journey was very quick, on time and on departure, and very comfortable. I had not reserved a seat, but there was still enough room to sit down. However, for the journey time of only 25 minutes, there was no need to sit down at all. All in all, I can highly recommend the trip, as it costs about €15 each way and is much faster than having to drive through Cologne and Düsseldorf.

Hello everyone! A long time ago I travelled with Deutsche Bahn, my favourite transport company. As almost always, the staff was very friendly. They checked the ticket very quickly. They took a quick look at my ticket and quickly confirmed it. For the first time I had an online ticket with me and it worked perfectly. The wifi was excellent. The connection was fast, flexible, efficient. My mobile phone and laptop were able to connect to the internet quickly. The seats were very comfortable and clean, well maintained. There was a strong smell of disinfectant. So I quickly opened the windows, but I had a good feeling because I could assume that everything was disinfected. The volume was reasonable. There was no need to change seats. The toilets were very hygienic and extremely clean. The price was a bit expensive though. I suspect probably because of rising inflation. Otherwise, an excellent trip that I can heartily recommend to everyone.

In 2013, I travelled with a friend from Cologne to Düsseldorf by train, as it was also cheap, and I can say almost nothing but positive things about the train journey. I found the train journey very pleasant and the seats were comfortable, the noise level was reasonable and there was nothing to complain about in the catering either, except for the price of the catering, which was too high. In terms of equipment, everything was also available. The service was also very good, the staff were very polite and helpful when I had questions. The train was also right on time. The price-performance ratio was also pretty good. However, I would definitely like to see more hygiene in the toilets on the next trip.

I recently had the opportunity to travel by train from Cologne to Düsseldorf and was pleasantly surprised by my experience. The train ride was very pleasant and comfortable. The train was clean and modern, with enough space for luggage and legroom. The wifi worked perfectly, so I could work easily during the journey. The journey time was only about 20 minutes as I was able to commute quickly and easily between the two cities. The staff on the train were polite and helpful, which helped to make me feel comfortable during the journey. Overall, I was very satisfied with my train journey from Cologne to Düsseldorf. The journey was pleasant and smooth and I would definitely recommend this option to others.

I went to Düsseldorf, by train, and I can say almost nothing but positive things about the journey. I found the journey very pleasant and comfortable, the noise level was reasonable and there was nothing to regret about the catering either. In terms of equipment, everything was also available. The service was very good as the staff were very polite and helpful when I had questions. The train was also right on time. The value for money was also pretty good. However, I would definitely like to see more hygiene in the toilets next time and the wifi connection was sometimes really weak.

The journey was very comfortable, but I had the usual problems that you have with Deutsche Bahn. The train was about 15 minutes late and the toilet was very unhygienic. For only €6.60, it was a good investment to see and get to know the city.

The train from Cologne to Düsseldorf is a super fast connection for travelling quickly from city to city. Comfort on the train was great, as there was a power socket, toilet and even an on-board restaurant. The train travels from the Rhine metropolis to the next Rhine metropolis in less than an hour. In addition, many trains run at short intervals along the route. The only pity was the slight delay and an employee who was not so nice at the check-in. Otherwise the journey was great.
Advantages

It's been a few months since I travelled and I have some positive memories of the trip. Firstly, I would like to emphasise the punctuality, which is not really a priority with other connections. The wifi was very good and there were power sockets available. It was also very hygienic. The train was moderately full, so I still had a bench to myself. The journey took about 30 minutes.
Advantages

IconComfortable
Disadvantages
IconDelay
I travelled from Cologne to Düsseldorf by train, I always travel by Deutsche Bahn for work reasons. As almost always, the train arrived a little late. Apart from that, the most important thing for me is that I have a clean pitch, the sanitary facilities work and the wifi works. This was all positive and there is nothing else to criticise, apart from the delay. The train made a clean, well-maintained impression and the journey was very pleasant and comfortable. I would take the train again at any time to avoid all the traffic, even in this day and age.
Advantages
IconThe punctuality was outstanding
Disadvantages
IconUnfortunately a little unclean
The train connection was very punctual. The ticket was cheap and offered good value for money. There was some slight uncleanliness, especially on the seats. The wifi worked very well and allowed for comfortable internet use. The toilets were in an acceptable condition, but more frequent cleaning would be desirable. The seats were comfortable and offered enough space to relax and enjoy the journey. Overall, a solid train service that could provide a very good travelling experience with minor improvements.
