I travelled to Paris to visit friends and spend a weekend in the city. I compared various options such as Flixbus and Thalys and decided in favour of the Eurostar because it was particularly fast, comfortable and direct from Cologne to Paris. What I liked best was the punctuality and speed of the train - we arrived in Paris without delay and very quickly. The worst thing was the cleanliness of the toilet: it was very dirty and the water in the sink didn't run. I travelled at lunchtime. The journey was very comfortable as I travelled in Eurostar Plus class and the seating comfort and space were very pleasant. The train itself was clean, but the toilet was unfortunately in poor condition and unusable as the water in the sink didn't work. I used the WiFi, which worked reliably. The sockets at the pitch were also handy. The train was absolutely on time and we even arrived a few minutes early.

I travelled to Paris on business. Our office in Paris is conveniently located near the Gare de Nord railway station. I always enjoy travelling on the Thalys, or Eurostar today, because the service is really excellent. You are provided with excellent drinks and food and you have a wonderful opportunity to work with a stable wifi. Compared to flying or travelling by car, the connection is clearly the best solution in terms of both time and comfort.

I travelled to Paris to explore the city. The Eurostar connection was the best option for me - fast, comfortable and direct. Alternatives such as Flixbus or a flight were out of the question due to the longer duration and inconvenience. I travelled in the morning. The train was on time, clean and comfortable. Wifi and power sockets worked well, the toilets were fine. I used the on-board bistro - the coffee was okay, as was the sandwich. The ticket cost €89, which I think is absolutely fair for the service. All in all, a very pleasant journey - I would do it again.

I travelled to Paris with my girlfriend for a city trip. It was the best connection for us, as we arrived quite early in the morning, only had to change trains once and had one of the cheapest connections with Deutsche Bahn. The journey was quite comfortable, standard ICE 2nd class. However, the toilets were surprisingly clean. I'm generally used to different things on trains. There was wifi on the train, but it wasn't really usable as it was hardly stable. But you could charge your devices. We didn't use the board restaurant or any other services. The connecting train was delayed for some time. We paid €134.80 for 2 people, which we found perfectly acceptable.

The train journey from Cologne to Paris on the Eurostar was just great! The connection was well organised and the train was clean and comfortable. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food and drink on board was delicious and good value. The scenery we saw en route was also very beautiful. The journey was very relaxed and stress-free, especially compared to flying. We were able to move around freely and stretch our legs, which was a great advantage. I can only recommend the Eurostar connection from Cologne to Paris. It was a great experience and I would do it again anytime!

The train journey was pleasant and I was able to relax. The seats are comfortable and there is enough space for luggage. The wifi worked well and I was able to listen to music during the journey. However, in the middle of the journey there were problems with the air conditioning, which made the train too warm at times. Despite this, the staff were friendly and helpful. The scenery en route was beautiful to look at and the journey was generally quiet. I would choose the train journey again because it is comfortable and practical.

The train journey from Cologne to Paris was a great experience. The seats were very comfortable and there were sockets for charging mobile phones and laptops. There was a beautiful view. Overall, a very great experience and highly recommended.

The train journey from Cologne to Paris was an absolute pleasure. The train interior was modern and comfortable, with spacious seats and a pleasant atmosphere. Dear Sir or Madam, I took a train journey with DB from Cologne to Paris. First of all, some good aspects about the journey. The wifi connection was excellent. Also, the train arrived in Paris very on time. The price of the ticket was expensive, but it was very great compared to plane tickets. However, there was a lot of need to change trains. The staff was also rather unfriendly. The ticket control was also problematic, as the staff were also impatient. Unfortunately, no attention was paid to hygiene. The toilets and seats were not really clean. Overall, a satisfactory trip.

I can highly recommend this train journey to everyone. It was pleasant and arrived at my destination on time, even though it was late. The staff were very friendly and helped me with my problems. The food was also very tasty and lukewarm. I also liked the hygiene as the toilets and the seats and tables were very clean. Also, the other passengers were quiet and respectful.

I took the train from Cologne to Paris in the summer. It was a very pleasant journey and it went very quickly. Of course, a big plus is that you can't get stuck in traffic jams. I would really do it again and again because it's much less complicated than going by car.

My train journey from Cologne to Paris was generally relaxed. The train arrived and departed on time. The friendly crew were helpful and helped me find my seat. Wifi was available and fast, which I really liked. There were 2 sockets at my seat, but unfortunately they didn't work for me. The train travelled through to Paris without changing trains, which made the journey easier. The seats were very comfortable and large. There was also an on-board restaurant, which I personally didn't use, but the food was highly recommended to me by fellow travellers. The toilet could have been better, it was very small and had poor facilities (there was no toilet paper left). The price was a bit steep, but the train was very reliable and I was in Paris in just over 3 hours. Overall, the journey was satisfactory (fast, quiet and reliable). I can recommend it.

Disadvantages

IconFour-seater with table quickly booked out
IconIn standard, only slow wifi
Travelling on the Eurostar to Paris is very relaxed, with very pleasant facilities such as wifi, with only around 3 MBit in the standard booking, and two sockets per pair of seats. The journey is very quiet and outside and driving noises are kept to a minimum - very stress-free. The on-board bistro offers a very nice selection for an entertaining journey and good quality and acceptable prices. The on-board staff are multilingual, very friendly and provide regular updates on current situations and stations. The toilets are typically small and cramped and have a strong odour. The punctual arrival and journey is the biggest argument for travelling to Paris by train, especially as a family you are very relaxed on the journey thanks to the excellent public transport. I will do it again with my family. You can't get from Cologne to Paris by car in 3 hours and 20 minutes in such a stress-free and cheap way.

The journey to Paris was very pleasant, with very good and cosy seats. The reservation worked great and the wifi worked great too. But highly recommended!

Overall, I enjoyed the trip from Cologne to Paris. The price of the journey was reasonable and fair, which made the trip attractive for me. The punctuality of the trains was commendable, which made my journey planning easier and reduced stress. The staff on board were friendly and courteous, which increased my comfort during the journey. The wifi worked reliably, allowing me to stay online during the journey, which was very important to me. Unfortunately, there were some areas that could be improved. The hygiene could have been better, which detracted slightly from the overall experience. The comfort of the seats and the noise level during the journey were average. There were several transfers which made the journey difficult. Overall, the journey from Cologne to Paris was a positive experience.

I had been travelling by train for about 3 hours and found the journey relatively relaxed. It was very quiet in my compartment and I found my seat comfortable and completely adequate. I travelled from Cologne to Paris and have to say that the journey wasn't too bad. The punctuality and the really good technical condition of the train were commendable. What I liked about this journey was that the ticket was cheap and easy to book. I also liked the fact that I didn't have to change trains. Power sockets were available and we arrived at our destination station Paris Nord on time. Unfortunately, what wasn't quite so nice was that one toilet was very smelly and no longer clean. However, I was able to switch to another toilet, which was clean. Overall, I was very satisfied with the journey.

This journey was one of the worst I have travelled on Deutsche Bahn. I got on and I was greeted rudely by staff. I don't know what problem they had with me, but they definitely had a problem with me. Then I was asked for my ticket, which was normal. I sat down in my seat, all went well, I tried to connect to the wifi and it wouldn't work. When I had to go to the loo after 45 minutes, I saw that the toilets hadn't been cleaned and there was toilet paper, so I went out and didn't use it. The price was relatively reasonable and the punctuality of the train was also reasonable. As I often travel with Deutsche Bahn, I know that this is just an isolated incident, but I would still give the whole journey two out of five stars.

I travelled on a so-called Eurostar 9450 for the first time, which I had never seen before. It was a really nice and clean train and I arrived in Paris in record time. I think it was about 3-3.5 hours and I was there. The service was super nice and everything was fine except the price was a bit much for me. But it was all worth it for me, so I'm satisfied!

My experience with the Deutsche Bahn ticket was mostly positive. The timetable was well structured, with a reasonable journey time from 16:45 to 22:30. My seat in carriage 3, row 12, seat A in second class was comfortable and provided a pleasant travelling environment. The price of the ticket was particularly attractive and offered excellent value for money. The staff on board were extremely friendly and helpful, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The wifi was efficient, allowing me to be productive during the journey. However, there were some aspects that could be improved. The hygiene on the train left a lot to be desired and the noise level was occasionally annoying. The punctuality of the train was also not ideal. Despite these minor shortcomings, I recommend the Deutsche Bahn ticket due to its overall positive experience and attractive price.
Advantages
IconWonderful ride
Disadvantages
IconRather higher in price
This journey was simply wonderful. Being in Paris within 4 hours really feels like a luxury. If you compare it with a flight, you'll probably get there even sooner by train, if you factor in the controls etc. The service was nice and spoke very good English. The wifi was very fast and I was able to work comfortably during the train journey. In terms of price, it would probably have been smarter to buy a ticket a little earlier, but as I have to travel very often and spontaneously for work, I don't have much choice.

I travelled from Cologne to Paris on the Thalys THA 9484. I travelled cheaply with a non-cancellable special offer ticket. The journey took less than three and a half hours, exactly as planned! I really liked the design and the seating comfort on the train, although the legroom in second class could be a bit bigger. In the free version, the wifi was very limited, it wasn't enough for more than emails. The staff spoke several languages and were extremely friendly. The toilets, on the other hand, were as cramped as in an aeroplane - except that in the Thalys there was a gender segregation that I couldn't understand.
