Taking the Train from Venice

Venice's main train station, Venezia Santa Lucia, is situated in the historic centre of the city on the Grand Canal and is therefore easy to reach either on foot or by water. Venezia Santa Lucia train station is located to the west of the city centre near Ponte della Libertà. Travellers can reach the station on foot by following signs to Ferrovia or take a water bus to Ferrovia. Some trains only leave from the city's other main railway station, Venezia Mestre, which is located on the Venetian mainland.

Getting into Rome by Paris

Trains from Venice arrive in Gare de Lyon, one of six main train stations located in Paris. Centrally located on Boulevard Diderot, the station is close to many of the city's most popular sites. A Metro station is conveniently located at the train station, making transfers across the city quick and easy. Bus stops are located nearby at Boulevard Diderot and Rue de Bercy. Alternatively, visitors can opt to use the taxi rank located just outside the station.
