IconAir conditioner defective
The journey was made without changing trains and had therefore been very relaxing. The train was very clean and the staff was very friendly. However, the air conditioning did not work on the train. The train had an on-board bistro and it was very clean. The train had been on time and had full facilities. There was an internet connection and plenty of power sockets on the train. Overall, a very relaxing journey. Due to the punctuality, the journey took just 6 hours.
Advantages
IconVery fast and affordable
Disadvantages
IconNone
The train connection from Dortmund to Munich was very punctual. The train arrived exactly on time and reached its destination without any significant delays. That was extremely helpful. The cleanliness of the train was generally good. The seats and floors were cleaned regularly, although some areas of the compartments were slightly dirty, it was great that there were power sockets in most compartments. The train service was largely barrier free which is a good thing for all travellers. The toilets on the train were acceptable but could do with better cleaning and maintenance. Overall, the train journey from Dortmund to Munich was a positive experience. The punctuality and the service in the bistro was particularly noteworthy.
Advantages
IconComfortable
Disadvantages
IconNone
As the journey takes quite a long time, I was worried at the beginning that I would get very bored, but this was not the case. The seats are comfortable and you can also sleep in them. Secondly, there is working wifi and power sockets so I could watch films. I had a small table and was able to eat the food I had brought with me in a relaxed manner. At first I was a little shocked by the price, but when I saw the prices of the other options, I realised that the price-performance ratio was quite good.
