About
Gatwick Express is a train company based in the United Kingdom. It operates between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport, with trains running every 15 minutes throughout the day. The trains are modern and comfortable, with air-conditioning and free Wi-Fi. There are two types of trains: the Gatwick Express and the Southern service. The Gatwick Express is the fastest service, taking just 30 minutes to reach the airport. The Southern service takes a few minutes longer but offers more stops along the way.

About Gatwick Express
Gatwick Express has been running direct train services from London Victoria Station to Gatwick since 1984. It is considered the fastest train service to Gatwick Airport from Central London, and is the only non-stop option available. The Gatwick Airport railway station first opened in 1958, and was a stop on the line from London to Brighton only. However, as air travel increased in popularity and the need for train transport to London Gatwick increased, faster services became a priority. It is currently run by Govia Thameslink Railway.

Gatwick Express: Ticket Types
All Gatwick Express tickets are offered as singles or return. Pre-purchasing Gatwick Express tickets online and in advance often allows passengers to take advantage of further discounts and promotions. Frequent travel Carnet tickets, offering 8 journeys for the price of 10, as well as season tickets, are also available.
Express Class Tickets
Express Class offers the best value with air conditioned cars, comfortable seating and a refreshment trolley stocked with drinks and snacks. Travellers looking for the cheapest Gatwick Express tickets should book these.
First Class Tickets
First Class offers plush, reclining seats, complimentary tea, coffee and water as well as an in-seat refreshment service, and a complimentary copy of The Telegraph. Passengers who book their First Class Return tickets online also have the opportunity to access the No.1 Airport Lounge in either terminal at Gatwick.
Anytime
These tickets are more limited as travellers can only travel during certain times of the day, but are usually considerably cheaper than the Anytime tickets. The type of train does not affect the ticket, only the time of day. Travellers should check with Gatwick Express, or at the station that they are travelling with the right ticket before starting their journey.
