Flights to Cardiff

Cardiff Airport is located 16km outside of the city centre, within the town of Rhoose. It is the only international airport in Wales, and primarily serves destinations across Europe (particularly with Flybe and Thomson airlines). It is easy to get to the airport from the city thanks to shuttle buses and the airport's own railway station.

Trains to Cardiff

As such a major city in Great Britain, it’s very easy to get to Cardiff by train. There are direct services to Cardiff Central railway station from London, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Glasgow, among other major cities.

Buses to Cardiff

National Express and Megabus provide many direct services between Cardiff Central bus station and major cities across the UK, particularly London, Swansea, Newcastle and Manchester. The ‘M4 corridor’ motorway that stretches across the width of the country goes right through Swansea, making road access quick and easy.

How to Get Around Cardiff

The Cardiff Bus Company provides an ample range of bus services throughout Cardiff and its surroundings. The city has also become a popular cycling spot, with dedicated lanes opening every year, as well as many popular cycle trails in the vicinity. There is also an ‘Aquabus’, which goes between the city centre, Cardiff bay and Penarth, as well as to Bristol and other locations further afield.
