Several coach companies operate long-distance services from cities around Europe, including London, that terminate in Vienna. Flixbus and Regiojet both offer routes from London which start at either London Victoria Coach Station or the nearby London Victoria Green Line Station. Vienna has two main bus stations and many routes also include a stop at Vienna International Airport.

Which is the main coach station in Vienna?

Coaches to Vienna stop at two places in the city centre. The main terminus is Vienna International Busterminal (VIB) which is used by Flixbus. This can be found near the Erdberg subway station in the heart of the city and near to good road and rail links. Regiojet services terminate kerbside at Waldmanngründen on the corner of the Südtirolerplatz. This is to the west of the city and near Vienna Central Station.

Regiojet and Flixbus both offer coach services to Vienna. There are, however, no direct routes. One connection is required and this is made in cities such as Prague, Cologne, Paris, Brussels or Amsterdam. There are up to five departures a day from either London Victoria Coach Station or London Victoria Green Line Station. Departure times vary slightly throughout the week.

Like all European cities, Vienna is packed with historic and cultural attractions but for something a little more out of the ordinary, perfect if you are travelling on a budget, simply wander around exploring the city's photogenic courtyards and squares. Then, take a canal-side stroll to the art nouveau building that houses a small observatory and a quirky puppet museum. While Vienna is compact enough for enjoyable exploring on foot it does have a good transport network made up of local, suburban and Metro trains as well as local buses and trams.
