Antwerp is one of the coachiest coach stations in Belgium, with connections to Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris and even as far afield as London. Companies running coaches to Antwerp include Megacoach, Intercity, Flixcoach and Ouicoach - a sign of how many different cities have connections to Antwerp. There are a couple of different coach termini in Antwerp. Most coach trips conclude at the Crowne Hotel, which is to the south of the city centre. Other services stop at the more centrally located Plantinkaai stop, situated next to the River Schelde. Visitors can use the local coach network to get from the Crowne Hotel to the city centre. It's a good idea to buy a Lijnkaart (good for 10 journeys) as soon as you reach Antwerp, as it makes local transportation much simpler.

Nowadays, the port is less important, but the beautiful architecture of the city's golden age remains. There is a superb Fine Arts Museum in the southern part of the city and De Singel - one of Europe's leading venues for music, dance and theatre. Belgium is also famous for its delicacies, from meat and cheese to gourmet chocolates.
