I travelled by ICE and found it a positive experience. The train was very fast, so I arrived at my destination much earlier than by car. The seats were comfortable and there was enough space for my luggage. The air conditioning also worked well, which was pleasant. One downside, however, was that the wifi occasionally didn't work reliably and I couldn't charge everything. Nevertheless, the journey was very pleasant.

The journey by Deutsche Bahn from Nuremberg to Cologne was fine overall. We were spared the traffic jams on the motorway on the Easter weekend, which was very pleasant. As I was travelling with my husband, who is in an electric wheelchair, we had to rely on assistance from the train staff. The staff were always very friendly and endeavoured to help us. Unfortunately, there was one restriction: the staff did not always have sufficient knowledge of barrier-free routes, which made travelling a little more difficult for us. Therefore, a train journey for people who are dependent on a wheelchair is only recommended to a limited extent. Nevertheless, we appreciate the friendly support and the overall pleasant journey.

It was okay, but somehow not perfect. The train arrived on time, but I had to look for a seat first as many were already occupied. The seat was right by the door, constantly open and too loud. Wifi barely worked, but at least it was clean. I couldn't really switch off and was glad when we arrived. Perhaps okay for short journeys, but not ideal.

The train from Nuremberg to Cologne wasn't very full. Accordingly, it was also relatively quiet in the passenger compartment. The seats had been very comfortable and there were power sockets and good internet available. The toilets also looked hygienic and worked. The aisles were clean. Unfortunately, the on-board bistro was not open. Otherwise, the staff were very friendly and the train was on time. The ticket price was fine. I can definitely recommend the journey.

I travelled back to Cologne from Nuremberg at lunchtime today. The train journey is very quick and I didn't have to change trains. Luckily the train was quite empty and I still got a seat, even though I didn't make a reservation. The connections from southern to western Germany are very good and so the train usually arrives at its destination without delay and without complications. Unfortunately, the toilet was dirty but it was fine for the short journey.

The journey was very quick here, so I only needed 3 hours from Nuremberg to Cologne without changing trains and only with a stopover in Frankfurt. The train was fully booked, but it was relatively quiet. The train was very clean inside and the toilets were very hygienic. The staff were very friendly at the ticket inspection and in the on-board bistro. The seats were very comfortable and there were plenty of power sockets and internet access. The train was not delayed and arrived on time in Cologne. I also have no complaints about the ticket price. I would recommend the journey to others.

I had my bike with me and was curious to see how it would work. Booking with a bike was straightforward and there was enough space and clear signposting on site. Boarding was a bit stressful because others were blocking the space, but that was more down to the other passengers. The journey itself was pleasant and punctual. It's a good way to travel.

I had to travel from Nuremberg to Cologne for work and used the Deutsche Bahn train for this. The reserved seat turned out to be a good investment, because the train was very full. Despite the crowds, the train ride was very pleasant and the journey time passed quickly, especially the. The view of the beautiful landscape contributed to this. A highly recommended journey. The staff was also very friendly.

We took the DB ICE from Nuremberg to Cologne at the beginning of the year. The train arrived in Nuremberg on time and also left on time. As we had a seat reservation, there were no problems regarding the seat. We were able to stow our bags above the seats without any problems. The seats offered enough power sockets and the train had stable internet available. The toilets were clean and you could have got snacks in the bistro on the train. Overall, the journey was very pleasant and I would want to travel this way again.
Advantages
Iconpleasant service
Disadvantages
Icondirty toilets
I started my journey from Nuremberg to Cologne on my way home from a friend's house. The journey was very long in itself, but very pleasant for the most part. Everything went well with the seat reservation and it wasn't too crowded or noisy on the train, although I wasn't in the quiet compartment, which to my surprise was a very positive aspect of the journey. The wifi was OK and was good enough for the journey without me having to fuss about it much and I was able to do everything I wanted to do on my phone throughout the journey. The power sockets all worked fine for me too. A big minus point for me this time, unfortunately, are the toilets. It probably didn't occur to any of the staff to clean the toilets for the long journey, which is why they were disappointingly not pleasant to use.

I finally visited family in Cologne again and therefore went by train. The train arrived on time and I was able to move straight into my reserved seat. I was even able to stow away my suitcase. The power socket under the seat was easy to use. Unfortunately, the wifi has a low transfer rate. I preferred to use mobile data to access the internet. The toilets were flawless. The only thing that is always a problem is the price. But since you don't travel such a distance every day, even the price is bearable. Especially when you consider that the journey is fairly stress-free.

Disadvantages
Iconcrowded
We travelled with friends from Nuremberg to Cologne to celebrate carnival on the ICE. Of course, it was clear to us that it would be a bit more crowded in the direction of Cologne, which is also the only negative point. Despite the high occupancy rate, the train was on time and arrived quickly in Cologne. On the way, we had seats that were very comfortable and offered enough space for our bags. The wifi was very good and stable. We were even able to watch a series on the way. The ticket inspectors were very nice and helpful. We felt very comfortable.
Advantages

IconEquipment
The journey from Nuremberg to Cologne was very quiet, so I was even able to sleep a little. The journey went according to plan and with service as good as this journey, it only gets better. The only negative aspect was the comfort, I couldn't stretch my legs properly and my seat was a bit hard, which caused me back pain. All in all a good ride! I would definitely do it again.
