Advantages
IconIt's easy to buy a ticket
Disadvantages
IconThe train toilets are not great
IconThe train is sometimes late
I have now ridden the route 2-3 times. It was often overcrowded and very stuffy. The toilets left a lot to be desired, as they were often very smelly and unclean. Often there are not enough seats. Personally, I always travel the route at lunchtime and in the evening during the week and it is very good. I am satisfied with the train staff Travel time was 2.30 hours Price for 2 persons was okay It was very noisy because of the passengers without headphones.
Advantages
IconCleanliness
IconFriendly staff
IconGood equipment
Disadvantages
IconDoor malfunction
IconNo catering option
The journey from Leipzig to Dresden was made without changing trains. However, there was an incident during the journey. The train had stopped longer than planned in Riesa due to a door malfunction. As I didn't need a connecting train, it had been fine with me. The atmosphere on the train had been relaxing and the seats comfortable. The facilities on the train were fine, but I found them lacking in catering facilities. Otherwise, the train was clean and the staff seemed friendly.

IconComplicated booking of tickets
I was passing through Zwickau a few months ago and therefore had the stopover Leipzig to Dresden. And I have to say that this journey was more than just relaxing. You could sit back and listen to music (provided you don't have any annoying neighbours)😉 . In my opinion, there is still something to improve about the hygiene of the toilets and the comfort. Very important: The train was even on time, the staff was very nice and there was even free wifi available. Simply top!👍🏼
Advantages
IconSockets
IconToilets
Disadvantages
IconDelay
Although there is wifi at the station, you have to manage with mobile data on the train. The toilets were ok, but still not really hygienic. There was also a slight delay, which wasn't too bad for me in the end. Unfortunately, the train was quite full and seats should be reserved to be sure.
Advantages
IconFast
IconFavourable
IconDelicious food
Disadvantages
IconDelay
The train was very modern and comfortable. The on-board restaurant was very tasty, but a little expensive. The staff were humorous and friendly. The price for the train ticket was great and beats the car in any case. The journey time was not worth mentioning either, we were in Dresden quickly, although there was a slight delay. The train was clean, had internet and comfortable seats. The tables were also clean.
Advantages
IconFast
IconPunctual
Disadvantages
IconNone
I travelled from Leipzig to Dresden by train in October and am very satisfied. Compared to the car, the journey was relatively short and pleasant. The seats were comfortable and I had a good view of the passing countryside as I was sitting by the window. The staff were friendly and everything was clean and tidy. I find the price-performance ratio very good, so I can only recommend it!
Advantages

Disadvantages
IconEquipment
IconPunctuality/reliability
IconDefects in the sanitary facilities
The train journey between Leipzig and Dresden on the regional train was rather negative. Starting with the punctuality of the train, which was delayed for some time and then even had to stop at Leipzig Central Station due to a problem on the line. In addition, one or more toilets on the train were damaged and not ready for use, spreading an unpleasant smell of faeces in my carriage. And on top of that, the train was heavily loaded, which was also not conducive to good and pleasant air in the carriage.
Advantages
Iconspeed
Disadvantages
IconA bumpy ride
The journey from Leipzig to Dresden on the IC2447 was punctual and reliable. The new IC railcars have electricity, wifi and a small on-board bistro where you can buy snacks and drinks. The layout within the carriages is very tight. With a lot of luggage, it can be difficult to pass through the narrow aisles. The train itself is not as quiet as an ICE, which is why the journey is less suitable for sleeping.
Advantages
IconSpeedy journey
Disadvantages
IconUnpunctual
I took the train from Leipzig Hbf to Dresden Hbf and wasn't particularly surprised that the train arrived 15 minutes late. Nevertheless, the train journey went very quickly and I arrived in Dresden within an hour. The facilities were great - with wifi and a power socket, but unfortunately the staff were extremely unfriendly as usual. The cleanliness was adequate. Unfortunately, the train was very crowded, which didn't make the journey very pleasant.
Advantages
IconPunctuality
Disadvantages
IconToilets
Personally, I really enjoyed the journey, I had some concerns beforehand but none of them materialised. Firstly, the train was on time and arrived on time. Secondly, I had enough space with a fairly comfortable seat. Only the toilet was faulty, which was a bit of a bummer as I had to go to the loo. But otherwise everything was perfectly equipped. The price is justified and good.
