Advantages
IconTrain was on time
Iconthere was a snack machine
Iconthe seats were comfortable and had good amenities
Disadvantages
IconPassenger compartment and toilets dirty
There were power sockets and an internet connection on the train. The seats were very comfortable and there was a snack machine on the train. The staff had been friendly and made good announcements. The cleanliness of the train was not so good. But the train had been on time, which was the main thing for me. The toilets had also worked, but had not been clean either.
Advantages
IconFast travel to your destination
IconFriendly staff
IconGood seating quality
Disadvantages
IconTrain delay
IconReparations on the move
IconExceptionally high capacity utilisation
Due to the unusually high occupancy rate, we unfortunately had to stand, but the staff were enormously friendly and were on hand to answer any questions. The wifi worked perfectly, which was important for us, and the on-board bistro had delicious offers. Since we booked early, the price-performance ratio was also right. The only pity was that we had to stand.
Advantages
Iconcomfortable seats
IconFast connection
IconLarge luggage racks
Disadvantages
Iconbad wifi
Some time ago, I took the ICE from Leipzig to Frankfurt am Main and find this connection very pleasant. You get to Frankfurt very quickly without many stops and the seats in the ICE are very comfortable. Furthermore, the toilets were very clean and there was no rubbish on the train or on the seats. I also find the generous luggage racks well chosen for this long distance. Since the connection is very popular, you should book very soon to get a cheaper price, otherwise the price-performance ratio is still very good. Due to the somewhat increased load, the wifi is still relatively poor, and unfortunately you can't rely on it most of the time. All in all, the trip can still be recommended.
Advantages
IconSimplicity
Disadvantages
IconDelays
I like that you just sit on the train and don't have to do anything and just enjoy the ride. Very simple. You have your own little table at each seat, a power socket that works, lots of space and wifi throughout the train, which works most of the time. Everything is also clean. The staff are always nice and helpful. Everything is very pleasant. Unfortunately, there are often delays or the trains are cancelled altogether. In the end, it's still good value for money.
Advantages
IconOn time
IconGreat choice in the restaurant
IconTrain was empty
IconCheap
Disadvantages
IconInternet did not work
The train journey from Leipzig to Frankfurt went well and was fun. There was a wide selection of food and drinks in the on-board restaurant and they tasted very good. The train was quite empty and you found a seat. Unfortunately, the internet did not work for the whole journey, but only in parts. The train was clean and the toilet had also been cleaned. We left Leipzig on time and arrived in Frankfurt on time, so all in all it was a pleasant journey.
Advantages
IconPunctual
IconNice staff
Disadvantages
IconImpractical when travelling with a lot of luggage
This time, travelling by train was quite pleasant. Otherwise I always arrived late in Frankfurt, but this time I was on time for the first time. I was able to charge my mobile phone on the train without any problems and also had good internet on the route. The staff were friendly and we arrived on time. However, it is impractical if you are travelling with a lot of heavy luggage. I had two heavy suitcases and pushing/pulling them along the carpeted floor proved to be very unfavourable. There could also be more in the way of storage space for larger luggage. But everything else was there, and if you don't want to travel to the other end of Germany fully packed, but have fewer things to carry, other methods are really practical and cheaper.
