It had been a very relaxed journey. The train was not so crowded and so it was quite quiet in the passenger compartment. Unfortunately, the on-board bistro was closed, but I was not told why. However, the staff were friendly and the train had been really clean, as well as the toilets were very hygienic. The seats were very comfortable and had full amenities. The train had not been delayed and so I arrived at my destination on time.

I booked the ticket online. Had a comfortable train ride, there was wifi the whole train ride and there was also a power socket next to the seats. The atmosphere was really relaxing on the train. In terms of hygiene, the train was really very clean. The toilets were also very clean. The train arrived on time and Dresden arrived on time. In terms of service friendliness, the service was also very nice.

Some time ago I took the train from Hamburg to Dresden... Unfortunately, the low price was the only thing about the trip that was convincing. The journey itself was very problematic. The train was overbooked, we had to deal with delays and the seats were not really comfortable...

I took the ICE from Hamburg to Dresden and had a very pleasant journey. You had to wear an FFP2 mask on the train all the time, but DB can't help that. The train was relatively empty and our seats were comfortable and offered enough power sockets, a folding table and storage options. The internet was stable and sufficient for surfing. The train left on time and reached its destination almost on time. Overall, the journey was very pleasant and I would want to make this trip again.

I went in class two and this was a ride that I liked very much because it did not have a single negative feature. What I liked the most was the cleanliness, or rather the attention to hygiene. There was attention to hygiene with disinfectant being provided. I had access to good wifi, which was good throughout. I also had the opportunity to charge my mobile phone and the atmosphere was great. I can recommend this trip to everyone.

This was my outward journey and it gets 5 stars as everything went well. My train arrived on time. The whole train, including toilets, was very clean and we were given plenty of notice, such as when we were arriving. There was a lot of choice of food and drink, which was cheap and had good taste. The staff were very nice, the wifi was good, access to electricity, good wifi and convenience. All this was available, so it was a great trip.

The journey from Hamburg to Dresden has a great route in my opinion and is fast enough for the distance. The seats were comfortable and everything worked well with the seat reservation. The internet works very well, so I was able to watch a few videos from time to time. The power sockets were also able to charge my electronic items sufficiently. The staff were very friendly, but the food in the bistro didn't taste very good. Maybe it wasn't prepared that well. The toilets were clean and the price-performance ratio was completely in order in my opinion, as I booked a return journey together. In the quiet compartment, the designated quiet is also almost always observed and respected by all passengers, which I personally find very important. The train arrived only 10 minutes late, which did not make much difference and I was satisfied.

I drove from Hamburg to Dresden to see the beautiful city. Very worth seeing. The train came on time and we even arrived in Dresden before time. As usual, the wifi did not work properly. But the power socket under the seat worked perfectly. So I was able to work a little during the journey. The conductor quickly validated our tickets. The train itself was very clean. The toilets could be used without any problems. Even though the ticket was a bit more expensive again, you could travel relaxed and above all without obstacles and reach your destination.

At the time, I travelled by ICE from Hamburg to Dresden for a two-week internship. I didn't have a seat reservation and still got a seat for the whole journey, which was very pleasant. The seats were very comfortable and had a power socket to charge mobile phones and laptops. The wifi was ok, sometimes there were small drop outs but hardly worth mentioning. The toilets were very clean and hygienic. The checkers on board were very polite and friendly. We left on time and arrived in Dresden on time. It was a great experience with DB.

I travelled alone and this was my return journey in 2nd class. I am very happy to recommend the journey to anyone as everything went very well. The air conditioning ensured that it didn't get too hot. The staff was very nice and also tried to take care of all the requests of the passengers. If you needed food, you got it. The noise level on the train was very pleasant. The wifi was very good despite many users. I felt comfortable when I used the toilets. The seats were very comfortable and there was plenty of room for luggage. It was a very great ride and therefore gets 5 stars.
Advantages

The Hamburg to Dresden route is highly recommended. The journey takes less time than by car. The quality of the trains is comparable. There are power connections at every seat. The service is comparable to other IC connections. Coffee and tea are always available. The noise level is low. Hygiene is comparable to other IC connections and punctuality was very good in my case. Only the price is high compared to travelling by car.
Advantages
IconComfortable seats
IconNice staff
Disadvantages
IconDirty toilets
IconWeak price-performance ratio
IconThere were no power sockets
IconLong journey duration
The train journey from Hamburg to Dresden was rather disappointing for me. Despite some positive aspects such as the comfortable seats and the friendly service, there were several points that spoilt my travel experience. Above all, the longer than average journey time led to delays in Dresden and exhaustion. The price-performance ratio was incredibly unfair due to the expensive ticket. The train's facilities were unsatisfactory, as there were no power sockets, which are normally considered standard. The lack of cleanliness in the toilets was particularly disappointing. Simply disgusting. To summarise, the train journey from Hamburg to Dresden did not live up to my expectations. Despite the positive aspects such as the comfortable seats and the friendly service, these were clearly overshadowed by the long journey time, the expensive ticket, the inadequate facilities and the lack of cleanliness in the toilets. It would be important to improve these points so that you can also enjoy a journey like this. I didn't have any.
