The train from Dresden to Leipzig was very full, which is why I reserved a seat. Unfortunately, the reservation display on the train didn't work. Otherwise it was very clean and the seats were comfortable. The on-board bistro was also open and the staff there were very friendly. The internet also worked very well. However, I found the ticket price a little too expensive for the short journey. Therefore one star deduction.

The train journey was very pleasant overall. The train arrived on time and it was a direct connection without changing trains, which I thought was great. The seats were comfortable and there was enough space. I found the power socket at my seat particularly practical, so I could charge my mobile phone. The ticket price was also okay for the route. Only the wifi was a bit unstable, otherwise I wouldn't have anything to complain about. I can recommend it

I travelled from Dresden to Leipzig on an ICE train because I prefer to travel by train rather than by car, as you can work remotely thanks to free wifi. What's more, you always have something warm to eat in the Deutsche Bahn on-board restaurant at reasonable prices. Overall, I can highly recommend travelling with Deutsche Bahn

Unfortunately, the journey was pretty disappointing. The train was overcrowded, it was noisy and there was hardly any peace and quiet. The air conditioning didn't work properly, which made the situation even more uncomfortable. Wifi was either very slow or not available at all and the toilets were not in good condition. There was also a significant delay without any real information. The staff were friendly but couldn't do anything to change the overall situation. To be honest, I had expected more for the price.

I travelled there for a city trip with my husband. We travelled in 2nd class and were even lucky enough to get a free seat. Hot and cold drinks were offered in the on-board bistro. Unfortunately, there was no restaurant. The wifi worked really well. Connecting to the internet was quick and the surfing speed was also great. The toilets were all open and clean. There was nothing to complain about. We arrived on time.

The journey was really great. The train was on time, clean and pleasantly quiet. I had a window seat with a table, perfect for working. Wifi was stable and there were even USB ports for charging. The on-board staff were friendly and helped me board the train. It was particularly nice that there was no need to change trains. The price was fair for the long journey. I arrived feeling rested and would travel like this again at any time.

The train journey from Dresden to Leipzig was very pleasant and stress-free. The train departed on time, so I arrived in Leipzig on time for my appointment. The carriages were clean and well maintained, which immediately made a good impression. The seats were comfortable and offered enough space for my hand luggage. I particularly liked the fact that I had power sockets at my seat. The staff seemed professional and were always available if I had any questions. Overall, I found the connection to be practical and reliable for travelling between the two cities.

Disadvantages
IconSavings offers not always available
I took the IC from Dresden to Leipzig as part of a Deutsche Bahn promotion. The train was very comfortable and the price really reasonable. The wifi worked well and the journey was very pleasant. If you don't want to take the often overcrowded regional train, you can get a real bargain here.
Advantages

IconTrain was full
There was no need to change trains from Dresden to Leipzig, but the train was quite full, so many had to stand. There were also many door malfunctions on the train, so that boarding and alighting were delayed and there was a delay of 10 minutes. However, the staff had been friendly and the train had comfortable seats and adequate facilities. It had also been very clean and there was an on-board bistro.
Advantages

Had quite a pleasant ride. There was plenty of space where you could also store your luggage. The seats were very comfortable. The service was very friendly. You could reserve your seat on the train on the spot, but also online. In terms of price, it is also top. The cleanliness is also top.

My outward journey was already very good, but also on my return journey everything was as it should be, the train departed on time and arrived on time, the staff were friendly and helpful, the train and the toilets were clean, hygiene in the toilets also seemed good to me. As always, the seats were very comfortable and there was plenty of legroom. I also didn't have to change trains, which was very pleasant! Clear recommendations to travel more by train!
Advantages

Disadvantages
IconPunctuality
IconMore frequent accidents on the track
The journey from Dresden to Leipzig on the ICE was a very positive experience, after I had often had a negative impression of the route previously. When I was travelling by regional train, the experience with the ICE was completely different. The ticket prices were fine, the facilities on the ICE were first class, i.e. there was free wifi, all the toilets were functional, there was the described equipment at all seats such as power sockets etc. In addition, it was extremely pleasantly full and quiet on the train and the conductors did a very committed and communicative job. So I can definitely recommend this route with the ICE, it is extremely efficient, relaxed and comparatively cheap
Advantages
IconSpeedy journey
Disadvantages
IconAn excessive number of people
I took the train from Dresden to Leipzig today and was pleasantly surprised that it arrived without delay. As always, there were no facilities in class 2 - neither wifi nor power sockets, but I knew that beforehand. As always, the cleanliness was perfectly fine. I had no contact with the service - my ticket was not checked. The train arrived on time, so I can't complain. The only really big minus point I saw was the unbelievable number of passengers, some of whom had to sit in the aisle. The volume was correspondingly loud. But that was probably also due to the strike yesterday.
Advantages
IconPeace and quiet
IconDuration
Disadvantages
IconEquipment
The journey itself went well, arrived on time and I didn't have to change trains. The seats were okay, but could have been a bit more comfortable. I hadn't reserved a seat, but I still got a good one. What was noticeable was how quiet it was. The only negative point was that the wifi didn't work. The value for money was quite good and I would go again if the opportunity arose.
Advantages
IconFriendly staff
IconAcceptable equipment
IconNo delays and no changes
IconCleanliness and hygiene
Disadvantages
IconHard seats and no backrests
IconHigh capacity utilisation
The train from Dresden to Leipzig was very short, so there was a high occupancy rate throughout the journey. However, the volume on the train was pleasant. The staff were also friendly and even helped an elderly lady find a seat. I found the seats on the train a little hard and I missed the seat backs altogether. But there were power sockets and a stable internet connection. The train was clean and the toilet was largely hygienic. The train also arrived in Leipzig very punctually and I didn't have to change trains.
Advantages
IconPunctuality
IconDuration
Disadvantages
IconCleanliness
The journey from Dresden to Leipzig was a good experience. The specified times were adhered to and I arrived at my destination on time. My seat was reasonably comfortable, but unfortunately I didn't have enough legroom, although I have to say that I have very long legs. The toilets were not one hundred per cent clean, but still acceptable. In conclusion, it was a pleasant journey at a fair price.
