The train ride to Freiburg was on time and quiet. Our carriage was pleasantly air-conditioned. My coffee was good, the train staff helpful and friendly. The wifi reception was acceptable, the toilets were hygienic and clean. I will take a train trip again in the future.
Advantages
IconClean
IconSufficient free places
IconOn time
IconRelatively fast
Disadvantages
IconA little loud
The ICE train covered the distance from Karlsruhe to Freiburg in one hour. The train was on time, the tables, seats and toilets were clean and there were still enough free seats so that we found contiguous seats with our group without having to reserve them beforehand. If I had been travelling alone, I would have wished for a little less noise on the train, but this was not a problem.
Advantages
IconFew stops
Disadvantages
IconUtilisation
IconDelay
No wifi and no power sockets available. Train was so busy that there were no seats available. Journey time was okay. The connecting train was not available due to a 10-minute delay. Price-performance ratio could be better if the train was larger and had more capacity.
