The journey from Karlsruhe to Basel was by ICE 103 in second class. The train was on time. There was a bistro on board, which I actually liked, but the selection was a bit meagre. The train was clean, as were the toilets. The landscapes on the route alone were worth the trip.

The ICE 103 from Karlsruhe to Basel offered an overall pleasant and comfortable travel experience. The cleanliness, comfortable seats and effective air conditioning contributed to a positive impression. Nevertheless, I would consider this train for future trips as the positive aspects outweigh the negative.

I travelled from Karlsruhe to Basel with the ICE 103. It was a modern train, it had wifi. However, the windows could have used some cleaning. The price-performance ratio of this connection was unbeatable. There were also no delays. On board, you could order delicious food such as currywurst. The wifi didn't work so well near the Swiss border and became slower and slower. There were 1 power sockets for 2 seats. The seats were slightly uncomfortable, but it was fine for the duration of the journey. I found information about the train and the journey quite easily in the DB app and was also shown on a display on the train, say by DB staff. For the route, the price-performance ratio was OK, I've seen much more expensive ones.

On my journey from Karlsruhe to Zurich, I travelled this section to Basel. The train was clean and left and arrived on time. It was a bit crowded and therefore noisy, but you could still find a seat.
