Advantages
IconVery quiet volume
IconClean passenger compartment as far as possible
Iconfriendly and competent staff
IconTrain was on time
IconSeats were comfortable and had adequate amenities
Disadvantages
IconThe only toilet on the train was defective
From Hamburg to Lüneburg, the train was not very busy, which is why it had been pleasantly loud on the train. The seats had been comfortable and had power sockets and an internet connection. However, there were no toilets on the train as the only toilet was broken. Many complained to the staff about this, but the staff remained calm and responded competently. The ticket check was also carried out quickly and in a friendly manner. The train was clean so far. I could not check the cleanliness of the toilet due to the defect. Otherwise, the train was on time and the journey was very relaxing.
Advantages
IconSeating comfort
IconPunctuality
Iconfunctioning equipment
Disadvantages
IconSnack machine missing
IconA little dirty
On the journey from Hamburg to Lüneburg, the train had been reasonably full. It was a bit dirty, especially on the floor, but the seats were very comfortable. The train was on time and arrived on time. The only thing I didn't like was that there was no snack machine, especially as I didn't have time to eat beforehand. Otherwise, everything else worked, such as announcements, displays and wifi.
Advantages
IconVery pleasant reception
Disadvantages
IconNone experienced
As I had booked a trip from Hamburg to Nuremberg, I also passed Lüneburg, so I can rate this route accordingly. About the train: It was really pleasant, the staff was friendly and it was clean. The scenery was great, I got a lot of great impressions, and took a lot of pictures, it was spacious and there was no lack of space, the coffee on the train, worked smoothly, so I could always get a snack, I really like this route and travel it often, and would recommend it to anyone who wants to experience something nice.
Advantages
IconVery fast journey
IconNeat train
Disadvantages
IconNone
I travelled from Hamburg to Nuremberg and Lüneburg was a stopover. I can therefore evaluate the journey. The train was well maintained. The Deutsche Bahn staff were friendly and courteous. The train was not significantly busy, so there was plenty of seating. The train appeared well-maintained and technically faultless. The train was not delayed. The journey between Hamburg and Lüneburg was so fast that you hardly noticed it.
Advantages
IconCleanliness and comfort
IconPunctuality and no need to change trains
IconEquipment very good
Disadvantages
IconStaff was overwhelmed
IconHigh ventilation and volume in the train
This train was quite full, which is why I personally found it too loud on the train. In terms of cleanliness, the situation was acceptable. The toilets all worked so far and looked quite hygienic. Despite the high capacity utilisation, the train was not delayed at all. There was also no need to change trains. I found the seats comfortable and the facilities, such as wifi and power sockets, adequate. Although the staff checked the tickets, they were very overwhelmed by the mass of people. Overall, I found this journey to be of average quality.
Advantages
IconNice staff
IconVery punctual
IconVaried offer in the restaurant
Disadvantages
IconToo few "rest trolleys"
This journey was very pleasant and went smoothly. The ICE was very punctual. Once again, the good humour of the staff ensured that the train journey was a highlight. The wifi and power sockets worked perfectly. All the boarding doors worked and did not malfunction. The train was full to capacity, but had enough free seats that could be occupied without a reservation. A reservation would still have been possible. The entire train was very clean. The toilets were well cleaned and appeared hygienic. The whole train journey took about half an hour. You don't have to change trains between Hamburg and Lüneburg. The price-performance ratio was right. The restaurant served a wide range of vegan, vegetarian and meat dishes. Unfortunately, it was quite noisy on the train as it was full. Although there are quiet carriages in which you should keep quiet, there were not enough of them on the ICE.
Advantages
IconSeats always displayed correctly
IconCosy seats
IconNew cabins for peace and quiet
Disadvantages
IconToilets not ideally cleaned
IconNoise during the journey due to loud train
IconMany products are often sold out as the train often travels this route
The wifi worked well. So did the power socket, but there were only some in the 4-seater pitches. The others didn't work that day. Seats were comfortable. Hygiene was great, except for the toilets. Price-performance ratio was fine. The route is not very long, but I think the price is relatively high.
Advantages
IconReliable wifi
Disadvantages
IconLittle choice in the on-board restaurant
The train journey ran smoothly and on time. The seats were comfortable and the train attendants were friendly and helpful. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the train was exemplary and the wifi worked reliably, which made the journey pleasant. Unfortunately, the selection of food and drinks in the on-board restaurant left a lot to be desired. In addition, the information about the stops could be improved to help passengers find their way around.
