Trains from Glasgow to York are provided by CrossCountry and Virgin trains East Coast. There are up to three departures an hour throughout the day from the early hours of the morning until shortly before midnight. The journey takes around three and a half hours. The route from Glasgow Central Station is direct while trains leaving from Queen Street require a connection at Edinburgh Waverley Station. The first departure Sundays is later.

A regular shuttle bus service to Glasgow Airport departs from Queen Street Station while Glasgow Central is on the city's SPT subway network.
Arrival Station:Trains arrive in the attractive concourse of York Station. This large station has a car park, taxi rank, local bus stops and bicycle storage facilities and is located about 15 minutes walk from the city's historic heart.
