Unfortunately I didn't get a seat, but I hadn't booked a seat reservation and the journey only takes 15 minutes, so a seat is not absolutely necessary.

Unfortunately, however, the train was already 20 minutes late when it arrived in Cologne main station. Without the delay, I would have given the train connection five stars.
