The journey took around six hours and thirty minutes. Fortunately, the train was on time. At first, I wasn't quite sure where to go. I was able to gather both positive and negative impressions on the journey from Barcelona to Malaga. The positives include the cleanliness, the very fast and constant network connection and the very friendly and helpful staff. Unfavourably not quite on time. The journey took almost 9 hours and I first travelled with train number 03092 and then with 02142 after changing trains.

I remember a train that arrived very punctually and was very well equipped. I had my own seat, which I found very comfortable. So I was able to relax a little. Unfortunately, when I wanted to switch on my laptop to do some work after almost 3 hours, I realised that the wifi was very poor. The staff were very friendly.

The journey on the AVE 8371 train from Barcelona to Málaga was an absolute highlight. The direct connection saves time and makes the journey pleasant and uncomplicated. With a journey time of just 6 hours and 50 minutes and the usual AVE punctuality, every minute was perfectly utilised. Comfortable seats, great service quality and spectacular views of the Spanish countryside made the journey an experience. An absolutely recommendable option for anyone who wants to travel in a relaxed manner! The service staff were very friendly and the food was good and reasonably priced. A direct train journey on the AVE #3992 from Barcelona to Malaga, which takes an incredible six hours and thirty minutes, proved to be another high for us. The high-speed train was very well received. It did its job with class. It was on time to the minute. The speed of the train was simply exhilarating and the long journey became shorter as we travelled. The comfort was first class. The chair was very comfortable, with plenty of legroom. Silence in the carriage was very much in demand despite it being a fast train. But it worked very well for the journey. And that to work online or play something. The service food on board was very high quality, with an appealing selection. The enjoyment was also quick, while very large, clean windows let in the magnificent views of the varied Spanish landscape. The friendly and attentive service rounded off the excellent service. The AVE #3992 is this top connection that perfectly combines comfort and efficiency. Highly recommended for travelling between Barcelona and Malaga!

I can't say anything negative about the journey. It was very clean and hygienic and I felt very comfortable in my seat. The staff were also very helpful at all times and I didn't have any problems as my questions were always answered straight away. The price I paid for the ticket was fair. Train number: 4914, I had to change trains once and it took just under 10 hours.
Advantages
IconPunctuality
The train journey with the number 1732 was satisfactory overall. The journey took 6 hours and included one change of trains. The train arrived on time and changing trains went smoothly. The seats were suitable for longer journeys but leg room was somewhat limited. The train was very clean, there was good wifi and power sockets. Unfortunately, there was nothing to eat.
Advantages
IconVery clean
Disadvantages
IconPunctuality
All in all, the train journey with the number 2901 was fine, but it did have some drawbacks. The journey took 7.5 hours and included one change, which made it tiring. However, the train was very clean, which made it much more comfortable. Unfortunately, the train did not arrive on time, which caused delays and additional hassle. It was an acceptable journey, although there was a long journey and unpunctuality, especially due to the cleanliness. The wifi was good, I had an outlet but no bistro.

Getting into Malaga by Train

Malaga is a beautiful coastal city at the heart of Andalucia's Costa del Sol. You can use it as a base to explore the beaches of the south or historical attractions like Granada and Cordoba - but Malaga itself has plenty to offer. Catch a La Liga match, wander around the Moorish castle and check out the lively nightlife. All trains arrive at Maria Zambrano station, which is about 20 minutes walk to the south-west of the centre. The easiest route into town is to hail a taxi from the station, but there are regular buses as well. Local trains also serve resorts like Fuengirola and Marbella for anyone heading straight to the beach.
