When I took the Westbahn to Regensburg, I immediately noticed the train's comfortable seats. You could also connect to the wifi as soon as you got on. The announcements were a bit loud, but didn't bother me. I didn't notice much of the service, as they only scanned my ticket, but the service still made a good impression. It's very easy to book online and print out your ticket. The toilets were clean, but that's what you expect from a train. The train is fast, but not too fast, so you get to your destination on time. The power sockets on the seats don't work, so only 4 out of 5 stars. Nevertheless, a very good price-performance ratio.

The train from Vienna to Regensburg arrived on time at the start, and there were no delays at the destination in Regensburg either. There was a restaurant with drinks and the opportunity to eat something in a compartment on the train. There was also information about connecting trains and their departure times throughout the train journey. Unfortunately, the toilets were not hygienic and the power socket at my seat did not work.

Sylt Shuttle Plus

About
Sylt Shuttle Plus was a unique passenger train service operated by Deutsche Bahn (DB) that connected Niebüll and Westerland on the island of Sylt, Germany. Unlike the primary Sylt Shuttle, which transports vehicles, the \Plus\" service was designed for passengers without cars. It involved coupling a Class 628 diesel multiple unit to the rear of the car shuttle train. Introduced in 2015, the Sylt Shuttle Plus gained notoriety for its often-empty carriages and longer travel times compared to regional trains, leading to its nickname \"ghost train.\" The service was discontinued in December 2024."
