From the capital of Hungary, it was back to Munich and thus I also crossed the intermediate station from Vienna to even Salzburg. All in all, the journey was relatively comfortable and the staff were accordingly very nice. The wifi was also stable again for once. Unfortunately, I am again annoyed by the typical problems such as train delays, which cause stress when changing trains, and toilets that need improvement.

I started the journey from Vienna Central Station to Salzburg Central Station in the Rail-Jet. Departure was planned early in the morning at 05:45 and was on time. By booking a Sparschiene ticket, the ticket was very cheap. Of course, you have to accept that you can't cancel and that you are tied to a certain train, but for me this is usually no obstacle. Due to the early time, the atmosphere on the train was pleasantly calm, so I can only recommend taking this opportunity.

My journey from Vienna to Salzburg was very relaxed, as the train was extremely comfortable. The comfortable and wide seats in particular made a good impression on me. The service was very good, you could have coffee brought to your seat. The train reached Salzburg without any delays. It was clean and tidy on board, which contributed to a positive overall impression. I can recommend this connection.

I travelled from Vienna to Salzburg by train and really enjoyed the journey. The train was extremely comfortable, especially because of the soft and ergonomic seats. The indoor climate was also pleasant. I was able to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the route. The train was not delayed for the entire journey. The service was good, there was even an on-board bistro.

I have nothing but positive things to say about my journey from Vienna to Salzburg. Firstly, I should mention the beautiful scenery along the route. I ordered a delicious currywurst in the bistro, which was reasonably priced. The train arrived on time and was clean and well equipped.

The train was overbooked, so we didn't get a seat. This is very impractical on a longer journey. Most of the time you have to stand in the aisle. As many people felt the same way, the atmosphere was very relaxed, at least after a while. The staff were also always friendly and keen to help.

The train journey from Vienna to Salzburg with Deutsche Bahn was pleasant, with great comfort and good service. However, the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The journey time was short and the price-performance ratio was fair. Despite a slight delay, I was satisfied with the journey

IconVienna Westbahnhof has fallen out of time
I travelled on the Railjet RJ 660 from Vienna Westbahnhof to Salzburg. I used an ÖBB Sparschiene, so I travelled very cheaply even without a Vorteilskarte. Unfortunately, Vienna Westbahnhof is not very inviting, but the train journey was quick (less than two and a half hours, we were on time) and comfortable (enough space for me and my luggage, wifi and a power socket so that I could work at my seat, clean washrooms and interior, friendly train attendants).
Pro
IconBeautiful view
Cons
IconPricewise okay
I travelled to Salzburg on the EC81 463. As it was once again an Austrian train, I was already convinced of the journey in advance. I have hardly had any bad experiences with these trains and my expectations were also met here. The service was nice and polite, the hygiene was acceptable and the journey time was also very manageable due to the beautiful view. Only the price was too high for the short journey
Pro
IconVery great service
Cons
IconUnfortunately late arrival
I travelled on the EC 463 and should have arrived at my destination within 4 hours according to plan. Even for the route, that would still have been a long way, but unfortunately the train was increasingly delayed from station to station. I'm not really used to that in Austria. However, the service was very nice and the hygiene of the train was also very acceptable. All in all, I am satisfied
Pro
IconClean
Cons
IconExpensive
Even though it was easy to book the ticket, it wasn't favourable in my opinion. The wifi was okay, but sometimes it didn't work. The people were also quite nice. The toilets were also very clean and didn't stink. The train was 15 minutes late, but I got to my destination very quickly. Nevertheless, it was worth it.
Pro

Cons

Despite the slightly overpriced train ticket, which I was able to buy very easily online, I really enjoyed this journey from Vienna to Salzburg because I didn't have to change trains on my journey, which is the best aspect. I was also very impressed that I completed my train journey in the shortest possible time and that the train was not delayed. I also really liked the very good wifi. The toilets were very clean.

I was extremely impressed with this train journey from Vienna to Salzburg, as I was able to reach my destination very quickly despite the slight delay to the train. I also really liked the fact that I was able to book my train ticket very easily and cheaply online. What I liked best was that I didn't have to change trains and could watch films during the journey using the good wifi. The toilets were very well maintained.

I wasn't particularly impressed by this train journey from Vienna to Salzburg, because unfortunately the train was delayed, which meant that I was delayed in reaching my destination. I also didn't like the fact that the ticket was quite expensive. What I liked best was that I could book my ticket very easily online. I also liked the fact that I didn't have to change trains and could watch films during the journey with the good wifi. The toilet was also very clean.

In my opinion, this train journey gets a 4 out of 5 stars because I was able to book my ticket very easily online, but it wasn't cheap in my opinion. My favourite thing was that I didn't have to change trains. I also thought it was great that I could reach my destination in a very short time. The toilets were very clean, which I really liked. The wifi was also convincing.
