IconTrain a little late
Some time ago I travelled to Slovenia or Ljubljana on the Westbahn. I was able to easily book tickets online for seat 17 in carriage 4. The journey was very quiet, although the train left Vienna a little late, but I didn't mind. The train was very clean inside and the toilets were very hygienic. The staff were very nice and chatty. The free wifi and power sockets also worked fabulously as always! I had to travel for about 5.5 hours without changing trains. It wasn't particularly noisy on the train. As always, the price-performance ratio is excellent!

My review of the train journey from Vienna to Ljubljana: The journey was cheap and environmentally friendly, which is definitely a positive. However, the journey took much longer than by car, which was very inconvenient. I also had to change trains several times, which made the journey even longer. Particularly disappointing was the unfriendly staff, which unfortunately had a negative impact on the overall impression. Overall, I therefore give it 3 stars.

The train journey from Vienna to Ljubljana on the EC 162 was fine overall, but there were a few points to consider. The journey took about 7 hours and I had to change trains once, which lengthened the journey and made it a bit inconvenient. Nevertheless, the train was comfortable, the seats were comfortable and everything was clean. The staff were friendly and helpful which made the experience enjoyable. However, I found the ticket prices quite expensive compared to the service provided. Overall, a solid journey but one that could be improved.

The train journey from Vienna to Ljubljana was simply wonderful! The train was on time and very comfortable, so that the almost 6 hours flew by. The seats are comfortably upholstered, offer plenty of space and even have power sockets, which was super handy for charging my mobile phone on the way. The route is simply fantastic! You drive through beautiful landscapes with mountains, valleys and small villages - a real experience that almost makes you feel like you're on a mini holiday. The large windows make it easy to enjoy the view. I particularly liked the friendly and helpful service on board. The announcements were clear and easy to understand, and the staff were happy to help with any questions. The cleanliness of the train was also excellent - the toilets, tables and seats were all in very good condition. There was also enough space for luggage and I was able to stow my large luggage without any problems. Overall, a super relaxed and stress-free way to travel from Vienna to Ljubljana. I can only recommend it to anyone

Iconone toilet was broken
The train from Vienna to Ljubljana was relatively full. Unfortunately, old trains were used, so you could hear the train noises very loudly. In addition, there were only power sockets and, disappointingly, no internet connection. Otherwise the cleanliness was okay. One toilet was also out of order, so there was a long queue outside the other toilets. The staff were very friendly and carried out a quick ticket check. However, the seats were very hard. However, the train had not been delayed and I did not have to change trains.

About
ÖBB Regionalzug (R) is a train category of the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) that replaced the Personenzug in Austria in 1982. Regionalzug services primarily operate in various Austrian states like Styria, Upper Austria, Lower Austria, and Vorarlberg, and on specific sections of other lines. These trains serve slightly longer connections that are too far from urban centers for S-Bahn operations. In Vienna, regional trains from the surrounding areas are integrated into the inner-city transport network. ÖBB Regionalzug services exclusively offer second class.
