IconLittle choice in the bistro
The journey from Münster to Hamburg was on ICE 2212 and was definitely a positive experience. The train was on time and the cleanliness inside was good. There was enough space for luggage. There was also an on-board bistro, but the selection of food left something to be desired. It was good that there was wifi and power sockets. The staff and the service overall were also not to be complained about.
Advantages
IconOn time
IconAir conditioning
Disadvantages
Iconcould be cleaner
I travelled from Münster to Hamburg with IC 2212 and was satisfied so far. The train left on time and I reached my destination without delay. The journey itself was also fine. The train was air-conditioned and the seats were comfortable. The cleanliness could have been a little better. Especially in the toilet.
Advantages
IconVery fast connection
Disadvantages
IconRoad works delay the journey
My train journey from Münster to Hamburg was very pleasant for my family and me. Thanks to the wifi, my children could even watch films during the train journey and I was really amazed that the wifi ran smoothly. The toilets were also adequate for a train journey. However, due to previously announced road works, we arrived in Hamburg a few minutes later. For the price we paid, I am very satisfied.
Advantages
IconOn time
IconShort travel time
Disadvantages
IconExpensive
The train has been on time, due to a last minute booking the price was rather expensive for a journey of only 2 hours. The power connection was good, but the wifi connection was very poor. The overall seat quality was good. Basically, the Hamburg Münster or Münster Hamburg route is a good route to travel by train, as long as it is on time.
Advantages
IconShort travel time
IconClean
IconOn time
Disadvantages
IconNo wifi
I travelled from Münster to Hamburg on ICE 2212, in second class. The journey took just under 2 hours, which I found pleasant. The price of the ticket was not that high. The train was clean and well maintained. It was an older train, which is probably why there was no wifi on board. Most importantly, the train was always on time. The staff on board were polite.
Advantages
IconFast connection
IconPower sockets at the seats
IconLarge luggage racks
Disadvantages
Iconbad wifi
I took the ICE from Münster to Hamburg last year and can only recommend this train connection, as it is very fast and not even a car journey can keep up. As I was travelling with a bit more luggage, I really liked the large compartments for it. Furthermore, there were sockets at every seat for charging mobile phones or tablets, which made the journey much more pleasant. Only the wifi is very poor. All in all, I can only recommend it.
Advantages
IconShort travel time
IconClean
Disadvantages
IconLittle delay
I travelled with IC 2212 from Münster to Hamburg. My father followed in second class and without a seat reservation. At that time of day, the train was relatively full and I had to stand. The journey time is relatively short at two hours. The service on board was not to be complained about, there was even wifi and power sockets. The train was also clean and hygienic. The departure from Münster was slightly late and so I also arrived in Hamburg a little late. Otherwise, I can't say anything negative about this connection.
Advantages
IconFast arrival
IconPunctuality
IconPrice
Disadvantages
IconSeats outdated
The journey from Münster to Hamburg, with IC 2212, was extremely short, which I find very positive. The entire journey took about 2 hours. The train was on time the whole way. It was also positive that the ticket was relatively cheap. The seats were a bit outdated and could be renewed. The on-board staff were friendly and polite.
Advantages
IconSeats were very comfortable
Disadvantages
IconNo weakness
The train ride was really comfortable and very relaxed. There was free wifi for everyone and an extra power socket. The seats were very comfortable and the train itself was very clean. The service was quite friendly. You could book your seat on the spot as well as online. The train arrived on time at the station. I was also very satisfied with the price. I can definitely recommend it.
Advantages
IconQuick trip
Disadvantages
IconUnkempt train
Although it was only the IC, the journey goes by quite quickly and you arrive in Hamburg after just under 2 hours. The train was not particularly well maintained. The seats were dirty and the rubbish bin was not emptied. Furthermore, the train was late. However, since I didn't have to catch a connecting train, I didn't care. The on-board bistro was closed that day, so I can't give a conclusion here. The train was not overcrowded, which was probably due to the fact that it was a Sunday. As far as quality is concerned, Deutsche Bahn definitely has room for improvement.
Advantages
IconShort journey time
IconNice staff
IconTrain was not fully utilised
Disadvantages
IconUnclean toilets
IconTrain delay
IconBroken seats
On the journey from Münster to Munich, the facilities were very good, wifi and sufficient power sockets were available. However, the comfort was not so good, as my seat was broken at the edge. But otherwise it was fine so far. The service was excellent, nice staff and delicious food in the restaurant. However, the toilets were not as clean as one would like. The journey time was really good, except that the train was late. The price for the whole thing was quite good.
