Advantages
IconNo delay and no change
IconStaff friendly
IconIt was quiet on the train
IconPassenger compartment clean
Disadvantages
IconToilet unhygienic and smelly
This train had also not been very busy, but it was very quiet here in contrast to the outward journey. It was very clean in the passenger compartment, but the toilets had been very unhygienic and stank. However, the staff were friendly and the seats were very comfortable, with full facilities. Due to the low occupancy rate, there were no delays and, as on the outward journey, no changes had been necessary.
Advantages
Iconfriendly staff
IconGood equipment and comfortable seats
Disadvantages
IconNoisy and hot passenger compartment
IconDelay of 10 minutes due to boarding and alighting
Iconfull train
This ICE had been very full and people were standing right up to the door, which is why boarding and alighting took a little longer and the train was delayed by 10 minutes. Accordingly, it had also been very loud and hot in the passenger compartment. The seats were comfortable and the furnishings were okay. The cleanliness could have been better, but was still within the acceptable range. So that not so many people had to stand, the staff decided to make the 1st class area accessible. I thought that was very good and friendly of the staff.
Advantages
IconFriendly conductor
Iconclean train
IconPunctuality and pleasant volume on the train
IconComfortable seats and sufficient equipment
Disadvantages
IconCatering facilities were missing
Everything had actually been fine on this journey. The train was on time and the volume in the passenger compartment was pleasant. The seats were comfortable and there were plenty of sockets to charge your mobile phone. There was also a stable internet connection. The conductor was friendly and the train, as well as the toilets, were very clean. The only thing missing here was a catering option.
Advantages
IconClean and hygienic toilets
IconShort journey time and no changes or delays
IconFriendly staff
IconComfortable seats with the usual equipment
Disadvantages
IconHigh utilisation and high volume
IconCleanliness on the train
I was able to take the S-Bahn from Düsseldorf to Dortmund, which took me to my destination without having to change trains. As the train wasn't delayed, the journey time was very short. However, it was very noisy on the train as it was very busy. The cleanliness was also unacceptable. The toilets, on the other hand, were very clean and hygienic. The seats had also been comfortable and there were plenty of power sockets and a stable internet connection. The staff here had been very friendly and carried out a quick and uncomplicated ticket check. I found the announcements in particular quite amusing.
Advantages
IconPrice
IconHygiene
IconSockets
Disadvantages
IconComfort
After successfully changing trains in Düsseldorf, we travelled on to Dortmund Central Station, where the price was also really commendable. The hygiene here was also really great, the toilets and seats were all super clean and the sockets worked perfectly. Unfortunately, the seats were no longer the latest, but this was not too bad in the otherwise modern RE 1 (26825).
Advantages
IconEquipment
Disadvantages
IconDuration
IconPunctuality
The journey was supposed to be on an ICE train, but when it was first delayed and later cancelled, I ended up travelling on a much slower train, which was a bit annoying. However, the train was equipped with everything I could have wished for. In the end, quite okay.
