The train journey from Cologne to Aachen was really very good, we only had a very slight delay and were therefore there quite punctually. The cleanliness in the train was exemplary and the air conditioning was able to regulate the August heat very well. The train was well signposted and you could find your seat quickly. Yesterday, I took the ICE 316 from Cologne central station to Aachen central station. There were quite a few commuters on the train at the time. Unfortunately, I didn't get a seat, but I hadn't reserved one either. The journey only takes about 25 minutes, which is much faster by ICE than by car. The train was quite clean, the toilet as well and overall I can only recommend the trip. The price-performance ratio was also great.

The train connection from Cologne to Aachen was mostly on time. There were only minor delays of around 10 minutes due to construction work, which is understandable given the size of the route network. The train was very clean throughout the journey. The seats, and floor are well maintained, and there was no rubbish or debris. There were power sockets installed at the seats. Which made charging electronic devices very convenient. I travelled from Cologne to Aachen by train. My journey didn't get off to a great start at first, with the train running late. Over the course of the journey, however, I was positively impressed: there were no disruptions or delays on the route. The train also made a clean and well-kept impression. Unfortunately, this journey only deserves 4 stars due to the delay.

I travelled from Cologne to Aachen on business to attend my business meeting there and then take a stroll through the beautiful city of Aachen. I boarded the train in Cologne Deutz and was at Aachen Central Station in about 45 minutes. The train arrived on time and the journey was quiet and pleasant. On the way, I used my laptop to work on a letter I was writing. The wifi was excellent. Unfortunately, when I got off the train at Aachen Central Station, the lift from the platform was broken. Otherwise, it was a very pleasant journey and I would take the train again at any time

IconDuration
The journey actually started very well, as the train was on time and I got a seat with a table, but unfortunately it had to stop for a while in the middle of the journey due to a technical problem and so the journey took quite a long time. But luckily there were power sockets and working wifi, so I was able to pass the time by watching films. All in all, a reasonably good journey.
