Flights from Edinburgh to Venice are available at many times throughout the day. Although easyJet occasionally offers direct flights between these two cities, in most cases passengers will be required to make one or more changes. The journey takes place between Edinburgh Airport and Venezia Marco Polo Airport and has a duration of just under three hours for direct flights. EasyJet is the only airline that offers direct flights between Edinburgh and Venice. This carrier also offers flights with one or more stopovers, as do British Airways, KLM, Iberia, Brussel Airlines, and Flybe, as well as others.
For direct flights, passengers can expect a flight time of roughly three hours. Flights with stopovers take anything from five hours to over twenty-four hours. The time difference for the journey depends on the duration of each individual layover involved.
EasyJet occasionally offers a direct flight between Edinburgh and Venice, and up to 80 flights with one or more stopovers can be booked on any given day. Since flights with stopovers depart throughout the day, passengers can select a flight with a departure and/or arrival time that suits their needs.
Flights from Edinburgh to Venice depart from Edinburgh Airport, located 9 km to the west of the city. Passengers can reach the airport from Edinburgh city centre via the Airlink 100 Express bus service which takes around 25 minutes and runs until midnight, after this time the N22 night bus service is available through the night.
Flights to Venice arrive at Venice Marco Polo Airport, which is located 8 km from Venice on the mainland near Mestre. The easiest way to reach Venice from the airport is via bus, either the ATVO #5 or ACTV #15 or #45 services which arrive in Piazzale Roma at the edge of Venice in 20 minutes. It's also possible to reach your hotel via water boat, which involves a ten-minute walk from the airport to the water taxi departure point.
