Buses to Blackpool: Journey Details

Located within sight of the Irish Sea, Blackpool Coach Station links up one of the UK's premier seaside destinations with cities across the country. National Express operates regular direct buses to Blackpool from Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool which depart every couple of hours, while a west coast route connects the city to Plymouth via Birmingham and Bristol. Buses from London Victoria to Blackpool are also fairly frequent, departing every hour or so throughout most of the day until the afternoon.

Blackpool Central Coach Station

Bus services to and from Blackpool all arrive at the central coach station, which is located on New Bonny Street, in the northern part of the city. The bus station is located near Blackpool North Train Station which offers connections to regional train services. A tram line runs from the bus station along the seafront into the centre of the city, and a taxi rank is located just across the road from the coach station.

About Blackpool

In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Blackpool became renowned as one of the world's busiest and most popular seaside resorts. The famous Blackpool Pleasure Beach remains one of the finest theme parks in the UK and thanks to the town's pioneering Municipal Wi-Fi network, you can even connect to the internet from the promenade & beach front. Blackpool offers a thriving nightlife and, often described as the "gay capital of the North", offers a host of bars, pubs, nightclubs and events aimed at the LGBT community.
