The train arrived very punctually and also left on time. The train was very clean and had wifi and sockets to charge your mobile phone. The staff at the on-board bistro were very nice. However, the prices here are very expensive. The ticket wasn't that cheap either, but the journey was worth it.

I opted for this connection because I didn't feel like changing trains, and it worked out really well. The journey was pleasant overall. The comfort was okay, I sat quite well, even if it could have been a bit more comfortable. Wifi was available, but the connection was rather wifi. The view en route was really nice, which I liked. The volume was usually pleasantly quiet. I thought the price-performance ratio was fair and I would book again.

I had to travel from Ulm to Munich for a presentation. I had planned to prepare the presentation on the way, but unfortunately this wasn't possible as the wifi on the train was down. On the other hand, the train was on time and not very busy. The toilet facilities were very clean. There was a word bistro where I could buy something to eat. The prices are disappointingly very expensive. The value for money is completely reasonable in my opinion.

The journey was pleasant for the most part, even if it did get quite crowded at times and it was difficult to find a quiet seat. Nevertheless, the comfortable seats and the generous distance to the neighbour made sitting relaxed. I particularly liked how clean the train was and how friendly the staff were when I had questions. The large windows provided plenty of light during the day and beautiful views during the journey. One small loss was the repeated interruptions to the wifi.

The direct connection was convenient, but there were a few weaknesses. The train was on time, but it was quite noisy in the carriage, with children, phone calls and squeaking doors. There was no bistro, which fortunately wasn't too bad on the short journey. The staff seemed more stressed than helpful. View was okay, but nothing special. The price was just within reason. It wasn't a total washout like I've experienced before, but relaxed is a different story.

I travelled to Munich because I was visiting the Oktoberfest. I travelled from my sister's with the FlixTrain to Munich ZOB. From there I travelled by public transport, which you can use with the Deutschlandticket. The train and the toilets were very clean. I was particularly pleased with the free power sockets. I also thought it was particularly great that there was free wifi to use. The train was only a few minutes late. There was no on-board restaurant. I paid around €50 for my return ticket. I was super happy, great value for money. It's great that there are still such cheap options like FlixTrain!

I was able to travel from Ulm to Munich on the regional express train without having to change trains. The number of passengers was also low, so there was a pleasant atmosphere on the train. The seats were comfortable and there were power sockets but unfortunately no internet connection. The corridors were clean and the toilets looked hygienic. It bothered me that the rubbish bins had not been emptied, so it was a bit smelly. Otherwise, the train arrived in Munich on time. I can definitely recommend the journey.

IconTrain had a high occupancy, no more seats available
I took the regional express from Ulm to Munich because my ICE train was cancelled. So the journey took a little longer. The train itself was very clean, as were the toilets. However, there was the problem that it was very crowded and I had to stand. There were various food options on the train and the staff had been friendly and carried out the ticket check very quickly. Everything was available and the train arrived at its destination on time.

I travelled from Darmstadt to Munich on IC 2297, which also included Ulm as a stopover. The journey was in second class. I didn't make a reservation and still had a seat, the train was a bit unkempt and run down. Unfortunately there was no wifi. The train was on time the whole way, so there were no complications in that respect. The journey from Ulm to Munich went very quickly, which I welcomed.

I travelled with the EC 219 from Heidelberg to Salzburg. The Ulm - Munich route was also served. The journey was in second class, but it was quite comfortable. There was wifi and the carriage was clean. There were also plenty of seats. The train left Ulm on time and arrived in Munich on time. The staff on board were friendly. Overall, I can't say anything negative about the journey.
Advantages
IconFast travel
Disadvantages
IconNone
I travelled second class from Darmstadt to Munich on IC2297. The Ulm to Munich section was part of it, so I can rate this journey. The train was visually well maintained and apparently hygienic. The Deutsche Bahn staff were friendly and courteous. The train was on time. The route offers beautiful scenery. I have nothing to complain about. The toilet in my carriage was also in working order.
Advantages
IconFast connection between Ulm and Munich
IconOnly 2 stops on the route
Disadvantages
IconCleanliness in the sanitary facilities
Fast connection with only 2 stops. The journey was quite punctual (only 3 minutes late). You can use the comfort check-in then you won't be disturbed by the controller. The toilets could be cleaner. The staff were nice and friendly. I would be happy to travel again!
