On my journey to Mainz by ICE, I was very pleasantly surprised by the good wifi connection and the films and entertainment media provided. There were power sockets at every seat, which are very convenient. The train and the toilets were clean. Thanks to the many railway employees, questions and requests could be made at any time. With a delay of only 2 minutes, I consider the train to be on time. The price was fair

I drive this route regularly and rarely have any problems. It's a short, pleasant route for little money. One negative thing I have noticed, however, is that the trains are often very crowded and you can barely stand. It's rare to find a seat. In addition, there are often train cancellations or delays, which shouldn't be too much on such a short route. Otherwise, everything is very relaxed.

Disadvantages

IconNarrow
Compared to the ICE, I find the IC, which runs directly between Stuttgart and Mainz, somewhat narrower in terms of space. It looks more like a regional train than a long-distance train. The sudden delay also reminded me of this. On the other hand, you can't complain about the price-performance ratio. The staff also endeavoured to share all known information during the announcements. However, none of them came by on the train itself. The train was also very clean, as were the toilets - much better than on regional services.
