The journey from Stuttgart to Zurich with IC 181 was in second class and without seat reservation. The train left Stuttgart on time and also arrived in Zurich on time. The journey was pleasantly short, just under three hours. It was very clean on board and the train appeared to be in perfect technical condition. Unfortunately, the wifi didn't work that day. Otherwise, I can definitely recommend the trip.

The train journey with IC 181 from Stuttgart to Zurich was overall a delightful travel experience. The impressive Alpine scenery, the comfortable seats and the punctual journey contributed to a positive overall impression. However, the on-board catering could be improved and better window care would make the view even more pleasant. Nevertheless, it was a recommendable travel option for those who want to enjoy scenic routes.

I was invited to a wedding in Zurich in July. Four days before the trip, I bought a ticket at the Super Spar price. The train left Stuttgart almost on time. The delay was only a few minutes. The train staff were very friendly. The first journey only took 40 minutes, which is why I didn't connect to the wifi there yet. My seat was very clean and comfortable. I had to change trains in Mannheim. There, the train was 40 minutes late. I was given a seat in the rest car there. Connecting to the wifi was uncomplicated and quick. Again, my seat was very clean. However, the toilet was so dirty that it could not be used. I would always choose the train again for long journeys. Since the trains are almost always unpunctual, I prefer to take the car for important journeys of less than 3 hours. However, the price-performance ratio was completely in order on that day.

The service on board was very good. The on-board staff sold coffee and snacks in the bistro. There was also free wifi. The train itself was in good condition. It was clean. The journey itself was a bit long because the train made many stops. Otherwise, the connection is recommendable.
