I travelled from Stuttgart to Heidelberg on the IC 118 in second class. The journey itself went smoothly and was relaxed. The staff on board were eager and always friendly and polite. The bistro served delicious, but expensive, coffee. The train itself was clean, but not the toilets. They were dirty. The price for the ticket was unbeatable.

IconToilets not clean
The journey from Stuttgart to Heidelberg with the IC 118 went smoothly for the most part. The train left Stuttgart on time and can also arrive in Heidelberg on time. The staff on board were friendly and helpful. The technical condition of the train was apparently in order. The cleanliness in the toilets left something to be desired. The seats were comfortable, ergonomic and offered sufficient legroom.

IconNo bistro
I travelled from Stuttgart to Heidelberg on the ICE 118, for which I reserved a seat. I travelled second class, but I didn't mind because the train was extremely comfortable. The seats in particular were ergonomic and comfortable. The train was not delayed for the entire journey. I found it a pity that the on-board bistro was closed that day. Otherwise, I can recommend this connection.

Contra
IconNone
The journey from Stuttgart to Heidelberg was on the ICE 118, in second class. I reserved a seat and didn't regret it, because the train was relatively full that day. The journey took just over 30 minutes. The service on board was excellent, there was cake, coffee and free wifi. The train was not delayed at all during the entire journey. I would particularly like to emphasise that the seats were extremely comfortable and ergonomic.
Pro
IconAir conditioned train
IconNo delays
Contra
IconDefective WC
I travelled from Stuttgart to Heidelberg on the IC 118, occupying second class. The journey was relatively relaxed and the train was on time for the entire journey. I had reserved a seat and it was free. It was a warm day, but luckily the air conditioning worked. What didn't work, unfortunately, was the toilet in my carriage. I had to resort to a toilet in the other carriage.
Pro
IconShort travel time
Contra
IconNothing worth mentioning
I travelled from Stuttgart to Heidelberg on the IC 118. The journey was in second class, I reserved a seat. The journey time was less than an hour, so it was very short. The train was not delayed. It was a well-maintained, clean train. I did not notice any defects worth mentioning. The staff on board were polite and helpful. There was wifi, power sockets and a bistro on board.
Pro
IconShort travel time
Contra
IconWorn train
I travelled from Stuttgart to Heidelberg on the IC 118 in second class. I made a reservation, which I didn't need because the train was not full. It was a short journey, shorter than by car. The train was not very well maintained, it could be described as worn out. There were no delays. The service was fine. There was no wifi on board.
Pro
IconQuick
IconOn time
Contra
IconNot clean
I took the IC 118 from Stuttgart to Heidelberg. I reserved a seat, which I didn't regret because the train was relatively full. It was a very quick journey, about 30 minutes. The train left Stuttgart on time and arrived in Heidelberg on time. However, it was a bit dirty on the train and the floor was sticky in places. I don't remember the train having wifi.
Pro
IconRelaxed ride
IconFriendly staff
Contra
IconBad wifi in my wagon
The journey was pleasant and fast. However, I had no connection to the wifi in my carriage. The power outlet worked well and the toilets were clean. The price-performance ratio was very good. As it was a direct connection from Stuttgart to Heidelberg, there was no need to change trains between these places.
Pro
IconI did not have to change
Contra
IconDelay
I travel by train more often, but often only book direct trains, as there are often delays and then you get stressed. This journey ended up being 21 minutes late. Everything on the train was clean and the staff were friendly. I can't say anything about the toilets as I didn't use any and I don't think there was any wifi as it was an EC.
