Especially full in summerNot sockets everywhereWell, I've travelled this route several times. Departure from Munich is usually at platforms 29 and 30. The trains are mostly quite tidy and are partly equipped with power sockets. Wifi is rarely available. The journey takes around 2 hours and, depending on the route, there are 0 to 3 changes. Delays are not uncommon. All in all, however, it is a beautiful route with a view. It's also very busy, especially in summer.

The direct connection makes for comfortable travel and the views of the Bavarian countryside are impressive. The staff are friendly and helpful, unfortunately there are only three direct connections.
