To get from Flensburg to Kiel, I had to change trains once in Rendsburg. This change was made smoothly and was very relaxed due to the sufficient changeover time. In both trains the cleanliness was very good, but in the first train the toilet did not work and in the second train unfortunately no lights had been on. As it had rained that day, I could not read well. In both trains, the seats were comfortable and had enough amenities. The staff were also competent at checking tickets and both trains were on time.

You can take the regional train between Flensburg and Kiel in a very relaxed manner and arrive in Kiel in just over an hour for a very good price. Even if the regional train can't quite keep up with an ICE or IC, for example, in terms of equipment, you still get a decent travelling experience. The seats were well upholstered and the train was generally very clean and hygienic. The staff were also very pleasant. All in all, it was a very positive experience for me on the RE!
Advantages

Disadvantages
IconRisk of delay
The journey from Flensburg to Kiel by regional train was a very average journey from my point of view, there were no cancellations or major delays and the equipment within the train was fully in sync. The price was also very reasonable and the staff did their job well and conscientiously. The only thing I have to criticise is the high occupancy rate, some passengers had to stand, which generally led to a restless atmosphere.
