Advantages
IconFast drive
IconEarly booking favourable
Disadvantages
IconPoor wifi
The journey from Dresden to Erfurt takes just under two hours on the ICE. If you book early (more than 30 days in advance), the price-performance ratio is also really good. Unfortunately, like so many ICE trains and especially on this route, the wifi is not really good. Otherwise you have the typical comfortable ICE seats with plenty of legroom, even in second class. From my own experience, the journey by car takes just as long and you are much more stressed when you arrive.
