The train left Berlin late and arrived in Erfurt even later (approx. 1.5 hours).
The train was also very noisy and you could hardly close your eyes. The staff tried to de-escalate everything as best they could, but unfortunately the situation on the train remained tense.
A positive aspect of this connection was the cleanliness of the train.

I found it particularly positive that the route is scenic, especially after Leipzig it becomes really idyllic. Punctuality also proved to be a positive factor in my case, as the train arrived almost on time. Less pleasant, however, was the fact that the carriage was quite full and it was therefore a little noisy in some places.

The FlixTrain connection was one of the cheapest options and I chose it because of the good price and the direct connection. I liked the low price and that there was free wifi and power sockets, which made the journey comfortable. The seats were also okay for the price, although a little hard on longer journeys. Unfortunately, the train was about 15 minutes late, which was a bit inconvenient, but still within reason. One disadvantage was that there were no drinks or snacks on the train, so you should take something with you beforehand. Overall, I found the price-performance ratio very good and would use FlixTrain again for this route.
