The national air carrier of Belgium, Brussels Airlines operates flights in Europe, the United States and Africa. Founded in 2006 following a merger between SN Brussels Airlines and Virgin Express, Brussels Airlines is now the largest flight operator in Belgium. The company has 46 aircraft in its fleet and operates in excess of 300 flights every day.
With its main headquarters based at Brussels Airport, Brussels Airlines flies to more than 60 destinations. Many of the most popular routes link the Belgian capital to major European countries such as the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain and Italy. The airline also operates a direct transatlantic service to New York, in addition to long-haul flights to 19 locations in Africa.
More than six million people fly with Brussels Airlines every year and are a mix of personal and business passengers. For flights within Europe, complementary on-board meals are available dependent on the class of ticket purchased. On long haul flights to the United States and Africa, complementary food and drink is provided for both economy and business classes. In-flight entertainment is also provided on flights to long-haul destinations.
Brussels Airlines provides four different ticket classes for flights within Europe. These are Check & Go, Light & Relax, Flex & Fast and Bizz & Class. Check & Go is the basic ticket, while Bizz & Class is the premium service offering complementary gourmet meals, access to business lounges and priority check-in at the airport. For long-haul destinations, the choices of ticket available are Economy Class and Business Class. Extras available with Business Class include gourmet meals, flatbeds and extra privacy.
