LOT Polish Airlines, legally Polskie Linie Lotnicze LOT S.A., is the flag carrier of Poland and one of the world's oldest airlines, founded in 1928. TAROM (Transporturile Aeriene Române) is Romania's national flag carrier and its oldest operating airline, established in 1954. Aeroitalia is a relatively new Italian airline that commenced operations in July 2022. The airline's fleet consists of Boeing 737s and ATR 72s, with operating bases in Bergamo, Comiso, and Rome–Fiumicino. While it initially planned for long-haul flights, the airline is currently consolidating its domestic and European routes. In late 2023, Aeroitalia acquired a majority stake in AirConnect, a Romanian regional airline.
